About J Dodgson

My vocal range spans from young to old, more feminine, to androgynous, to masculine. Soft, smooth, sharp, gritty, constrained. Deep, high... you get it.

With a little practice. I can adapt.

Equipment Used:

  • SE Electronics SE8. A small diaphragm condenser with ultra low noise floor and flat response curve.

  • Custom U87 clone with tube. Large diaphragm with soft low transients, primarily recording in figure-8 for side rejection.

  • Presonus BlueTube V1 Tube Amp.

  • Behringer UMC202hd Interface.

  • Custom recording booth with minimal, silent, recording space.

_______________

DAW: Adobe Audition

_______________

I don't really have a preference when it comes to voice acting. I just like to have fun.

_______________

I tend to go for a bit of everything as my range can go from very low, deep, narrative style voices to high, soft, and quiet voices.

Pricing

If I've applied to an unpaid production: Don't worry.

For negotiated rates: $1-1.5 per word.

Otherwise I'm not going to negotiate if you've listed the rate.

For commissions (If you were so inclined to ask) then consider the above.

But mostly, I'm looking for credits. So I apply to a bunch of free stuff.

What J Dodgson is looking for

Fandubs, Audio books, Dramas, Parodies, Original Fanworks. I'm good with all of these.

I don't really try to do impressions, honestly. I use my range. So if you want something exact to another performance: You might not be looking for me. Of course, I can do a few impressions for sure... but I do prefer to add my own spin.
