@alexgoodmanProfessional Voice Actor | Audiobooks, animation, video games, audio drama, and sound design
Hey, I'm Alex! I'm a trained actor (BFA, Wright State University) with a Certificate in Sound Design for Video Games from Berklee College of Music. Basically, I got trained to act and trained to build the world around the acting, and I've been mashing those two together ever since.
I cut my teeth in Chicago theater and sketch work before landing on live radio, where I played Thultak the Wandering Barbarian on Locked into Vacancy (plus a rotating cast of other characters, because why stop at one). Eventually, a group of friends and I made our own thing: The Tale of Hunter's Bay, a six-part audio drama set in a tabletop RPG world. I wrote, directed, produced, cast, edited, and acted in it, so if there's a job on an audio production, I've probably done it at some point.
These days I'm narrating full-time. 11 audiobooks published so far, 4 more on the way, ranging from fantasy to romance. I record out of a treated home studio (Røde NT1 5th Gen, Scarlett 2i2, Reaper) built for clean, consistent sound.

I earned my BFA in Acting after graduating in 2010.
I learned how t o take my stage acting and turn it into voice acting. I was able to book an agent and start working after this course.
Rates typically range from $75–$250/hour depending on the project, budget, usage, and scope of work. I’m happy to discuss rates for indie and smaller-budget projects on a case-by-case basis.
I’m primarily here looking for voice-over work and opportunities to put my acting experience to use in new ways. I’m particularly interested in character-driven work, narration, video games, animation, audio dramas, and other projects where performance and storytelling are at the heart of the work.
I’ve been acting for over 20 years and narrating audiobooks for the past seven, and I’d love to continue expanding into different areas of voice work while meeting other creators and building lasting working relationships. I joined Casting Call Club to find interesting projects, collaborate with other creatives, and hopefully discover some characters and stories I wouldn’t have encountered otherwise.
