Video Game Voice Acting

Instructed by Wes Johnson

I had the absolute pleasure of working with THE Wes Johnson, known for many video game roles in the Elder Scrolls and Fallout franchises. I learned how to hone different voice types and how to embody the character through feelings and body movement. I also learned how to create realistic combat sounds.

calexa was wonderful to work with! she has good mic quality, gives very natural performances, and took direction well throughout the recording process. she was always kind and professional, and i really enjoyed having her bring my character to life. i'd definitely be happy to work with her again on future projects! 💕

Calexa skillfully voiced 2 different types of characters in my project; human and Argonian (she does an excellent Argonian voice!) and delivered all lines with a high quality. She was open to feedback and retakes where needed, and had a great enthusiasm for the project. I thoroughly recommend her, and would love to work with her again!

So, I will admit, I, at first, mishandled Calexa's auditions. She tried to audition for a project of mine that I had closed early due to some emergent situations I needed to take care of. But when I had to open the role she auditioned for back up due to a VA bailing out, she appeared in my feed and I was like "Oh!"

I will explain, in detail, her role. The expectations I set, and how she surpassed them.

She auditioned for a Dark Elf role in a mod of mine titled "Fresh Blood - The Other Side of The Fence". A female Dark Elf Morag Tong Agent that can be turned into a vampire for Clan Volkihar. I went into the role not really knowing what to expect, but based on her audition, I expected quality over all else. She provided, and more. Quantity - She provided many takes that I could go through and decide which ones I wanted or felt that fit. Quality - Her lines were crisp, clean, and professional. Most importantly, she also took constructive criticism to heart where needed and worked with me to make the character what she is today.

Even now, I am working with Calexa on another project (One she helped come up with, might I add) where she plays a hybrid of a lead-supporting role.

Her ability to adapt her voice to fit the character, her attitude, everything about her. It screams: "I am a professional and I know what I'm doing".

I look forward to seeing what the future holds for Calexa!
