Your pitch is near perfect, keeping the young adult voice along with the raspy nature of the character. Delivery is also well done, with your inflections done in the second and third lines stealing the show. Tone is good throughout, altering appropriately to fit the character's mindset in the lines. Thug, criminal, thief, all names the Highwayman knows well, names he's come to revile as much as himself.  He seeks redemption over his past life as a murderer and rogue, and has arrived to the hamlet to find it or find death.

The Highwayman carries himself with an aura of equal guilt and assertion throughout his travels. He's one of the more empathetic heroes in the hamlet, and is keen to at least attempt to form a degree of trust with his companions.
