Private Emmett Topps is an original character that we are creating for this series. He was born on Reach approx. 15 years before the invasion, and enlisted into the UNSC at age 19. Although he is a nervous wreck at times, and he tends to make rash decisions, his heart is there. Reach is his home, and he does not want to let it be desecrated. He wants to help in every way he can. He is the lone survivor of his squad. During the invasion on New Alexandria, he rushed to find his family, his mother and sister. With them nowhere to be found, he has to carry the thought of if he will ever see them again, along with the burden of trying to save countless lives from the Covenant onslaught. With the morale of a Spartan, but the rank and body of a Marine, Emmett will face many challenges physically, mentally and emotionally.
