Character Description

Meet Snippy, the sassy, perfectionist scissors mascot of Patches & Paint!

Snippy is a lively craft creation who takes his work very seriously. He absolutely adores cutting perfectly symmetrical shapes, organizing colorful materials, and making sure every arts-and-crafts activity runs smoothly.

Unfortunately, not everyone shares his dedication to perfection.

Especially Blottie.

Snippy is constantly frustrated by Blottie's messy experiments, ridiculous pranks, and complete disregard for properly organized craft supplies.

He isn't afraid to speak his mind, dramatically roll his eyes, or deliver a sarcastic remark whenever someone makes an unnecessary mess.

Although Snippy can be bossy, demanding, and a little dramatic, he isn't mean-spirited. Deep down, he genuinely cares about his friends and wants everyone to succeed.

Patches often helps him calm down when his perfectionism gets the better of him.

But ever since the craft center closed, Snippy has been experiencing something deeply unsettling.

Strange paper shapes appear around the building, each one cut with almost impossible precision.

Sometimes, Snippy hears the unmistakable sound of scissors opening and closing somewhere in the darkness.

And sometimes, the sound seems to come from inside his own body.

Snippy insists there's a perfectly reasonable explanation.

At least, that's what he keeps telling himself.

Personality

• Sassy, bossy, and outspoken

• Easily frustrated by messes and mistakes

• Perfectionistic and detail-oriented

• Dramatic and sarcastic

• Intelligent and observant

• Proud of his crafting abilities

• Secretly enjoys being complimented

• Loyal and protective of his friends

• Sometimes struggles to apologize

• Afraid of losing control and making irreversible mistakes

Voice Description

We are looking for a voice actor who can portray Snippy as a sassy, bossy, and easily irritated male mascot with plenty of personality.

His voice should sound expressive, slightly theatrical, and full of attitude.

Snippy loves giving instructions, correcting mistakes, and reminding everyone that he knows exactly what he's doing.

When annoyed, he may speak faster, emphasize certain words dramatically, or let out exaggerated sighs.

However, his frustration should feel comedic and entertaining rather than genuinely cruel.

As the game's horror elements unfold, the actor should also be capable of portraying Snippy's fear, vulnerability, and occasional moments of tenderness.

Desired Voice Qualities:

• Masculine-presenting or boyish

• Sassy and expressive

• Bossy and commanding

• Naturally sarcastic

• Strong comedic timing

• Capable of exaggerated frustration

• Clear and articulate pronunciation

• Able to portray panic, sadness, and vulnerability

• Comfortable transitioning between humor and horror

Voice actors of any gender who can perform this voice style are welcome to audition.

Additional Notes

Snippy is an original male mascot in Patches & Paint and uses he/him pronouns.

His sassy, bossy personality creates an entertaining contrast with Patches' gentle kindness and Blottie's cheeky confidence.

Although Snippy frequently complains about his friends, he cares deeply about them.

His perfectionism also plays an important role in his personal horror storyline. He is terrified of losing control over his movements and creations.

We want his voice to be memorable, humorous, and occasionally dramatic, while still allowing for genuine emotional moments.

Patches & Paint is an original Roblox mascot-horror game currently in early development. Final recording scope, deadlines, compensation, usage permissions, and credit arrangements will be agreed upon with the selected performer.

We welcome auditions from voice actors of all gender identities who feel comfortable portraying this character.
