Meet Ruler, the enthusiastic little measuring tape mascot of Patches & Paint!

Ruler is a clever, curious, and endlessly fascinated craft creation who believes that every mystery has an explanation and every problem can be solved with a little patience, creativity, and mathematics!

He absolutely loves measurements, puzzles, patterns, and discovering how things work.

Whether he's helping visitors measure their craft projects, building miniature structures for his friends, or investigating something unusual, Ruler always approaches his work with excitement.

He's the kind of mascot who could spend hours explaining an interesting discovery without realizing that everyone else has stopped listening.

When he gets excited, he often speaks quickly, asks a dozen questions at once, and enthusiastically shares random facts.

Despite his intelligence, Ruler can be a little socially awkward.

He sometimes misunderstands jokes, takes things too literally, and becomes so distracted by his experiments that he forgets what's happening around him.

However, Ruler is a genuinely kind and thoughtful friend.

Patches appreciates his gentle curiosity and encourages him to take breaks whenever he becomes overwhelmed.

Blottie enjoys challenging him with ridiculous questions and creative experiments.

Snippy and Ruler often disagree about the proper way to measure or organize craft projects. While Snippy demands perfection, Ruler believes that discovering something new is more important than getting everything right the first time.

Mallow loves watching Ruler create tiny structures for her clay sculptures.

Trixie frequently reminds Ruler to be careful whenever his curiosity leads him toward restricted areas.

But ever since the craft center mysteriously closed, Ruler has discovered something he simply cannot explain.

The measurements throughout the building have begun changing.

Hallways that once measured ten feet suddenly stretch twice as far.

Doors appear farther away every time he approaches them.

And the numbers printed along his own measuring tape occasionally rearrange themselves.

At first, Ruler assumes his measurements are incorrect.

He checks them again.

And again.

And again.

But the results only become more disturbing.

One evening, Ruler discovers a mysterious number written across a locked door.

The number matches the exact measurement of his own body.

The following morning, the number has increased.

And Ruler realizes that he has grown taller.

For the first time in his life, Ruler is confronted with a mystery that mathematics cannot explain.

And he's beginning to wonder whether he's studying the strange changes occurring throughout the craft center...

Or whether something inside the building is studying him.
