Backstory: An American lawman sent to keep the order in the newly-minted Southwest territories, Clyde McGraw serves as a frontier sheriff in a rapidly changing town. He finds himself policing a rigged system where ruthless American expansionists are actively displacing the established local community.

Personality: Stern, fair, yet fatally complacent. McGraw naively tries to satisfy both sides to keep the peace, blind to possible repercussions. Yet, when forced to choose, his moral core overrides his comfort, transforming him from a passive civil servant into a decisive protector.
