Archetype: Himedere (Helm)

Gender: Female

The magnificent princess of a bankrupt six-person kingdom, working every humble shift aboard the Nightstar to pay the crown's bills, and treating each one as a royal duty.

The archetype, Himedere: Acts like a princess and expects to be treated like one.

What it means: From hime (princess). She demands royal treatment, speaks in decrees, and assumes everyone adores her.

Where the comedy is: Grandeur in tiny situations, and the ojou laugh. The gap between her airs and her actual position.

Well-known examples: Catarina (My Next Life as a Villainess), the ojou-sama laugh of countless rom-coms.

Built from: The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated! (fallen grandeur, flat broke, still the magnificent villain of her own story); The Devil Is a Part-Timer! (royalty at a part-time job, treating every shift as conquest); the ojou-sama's 'Ohohoho!'; Nisekoi's fake engagement.

The menace: Royal decrees that overrule the captain mid-battle, and side jobs for the crown's treasury taken whenever and wherever she can, including in the middle of a mission.

How Sumire sounds: Adult woman. Grand, theatrical and haughty, with a big trilling ojou laugh. Flusters fast when anyone is kind to her. Her quiet lines are small and honest.

The season (8 episodes): A comedy about a princess doing humble jobs with total grandeur, turning into a story about what she's holding up. It builds from the throne room (EP1) and her first shift in the galley (EP2), to a final notice from the tax office (EP3), to her tiny court (EP4-5), to the one suitor she's dodging (EP6), to a fake engagement to the captain (EP7), and ends at a coronation the crown can't afford (EP8).

The job: write Sumire's whole season as short scenes, in our plain-text script format. The story beats and the game outcomes are set; the jokes, the staging and every line are yours. You get a full writer package: the character bible, every episode's beats and choices, how scenes play on screen, and two finished example seasons you can click through.

Length: one character season, 8 episodes of roughly 190 to 250 words each (about 1,520 to 2,000 words in total).

AUDITION - Please mind the delivery format. Ability to deliver correctly formatted work will weigh strongly when choosing writers:

Episode 2, "The Part-Time Princess"

Why this one: A princess on her first galley shift, treating it as a royal inspection.

What you need to know: Sumire is the princess of a tiny, broke kingdom: six subjects and a goat. She renamed the bridge the Throne Room on her first day, and treats every humble job as a royal duty.

What happens (the beats are fixed; the jokes, the staging and every line are yours):

- The galley's roster has a new dish hand: Sumire.

- She insists it's a royal inspection of the kitchens. She is wearing an apron with a crown on it.

- The truth slips out: the crown's treasury needs the money. She sends home every credit.

Then the player picks one of these:

1. Order lunch from her, as a customer. She takes the order like a royal audience.

2. Offer to pay her a royal stipend instead. She refuses: a monarch earns her keep.

3. Let Ryoko order from the royal waitress. Two legends, one serving the other. (only offered if Ryoko is aboard)

Write: the scene (3 to 8 lines), then the result of ONE choice of your pick (up to 5 lines). A spoken line is up to 40 words.

Format: copy this layout exactly. Auditions that follow it score higher.

BODY

[beat] Narration the player reads. Nobody speaks.

SUMIRE (how it's said): A spoken line.

DECK OFFICER (flat) {sweat}: Other speakers work the same way. The {emote} is optional.

CHOICE 2

LABEL: The button text, in the captain's voice. ("Ask her...", "Tell him...")

RESULT

SUMIRE (how it's said): What happens after that choice.
