Paid: Flat Rate 30 USD

Archetype: Deredere (Helm)

Gender: Female

A sunny helm officer who commentates the captain's every move like a race broadcast, on open channels, because she used to call races for a living, until she got banned from the booth for commentating her own illegal entries.

The archetype, Deredere: Sunny, openly affectionate, relentlessly positive.

What it means: The all-dere type: loving, cheerful and upfront about it. No hidden side, no armor.

Where the comedy is: Enthusiasm at the wrong scale: treating danger like a fun day out, and dragging everyone into it.

Well-known examples: Tohru Honda (Fruits Basket), Chiyo (Azumanga Daioh).

Built from: Kaguya-sama's Chika Fujiwara (the cheerful chaos, the commentary nobody asked for), with the racing anime as her world: Initial D, Redline, Outlaw Star's race, Steel Ball Run, Cyber Formula, Uma Musume's victory concert.

The menace: She commentates the captain's every order on open channels as a legendary racing moment, so the enemy always knows the plan, and she enters a fifty-thousand-ton warship in an outlaw race in the middle of an invasion.

How Hana sounds: Adult woman. Bright, fast, warm, with a play-by-play commentator's rhythm: 'And Momose takes the helm! She's feeling GREAT, folks!'

The season (8 episodes): A racing comedy: the narrated helm (EP1), a delivery run (EP2), an invitation to the outlaw Void Grand Prix (EP3), the qualifier through an enemy patrol (EP4), her old booth partner (EP5), sabotage in the semifinal and the conspiracy under the race (EP6), the crew as pit crew (EP7), and the final lap (EP8).

The job: write Hana's whole season as short scenes, in our plain-text script format. The story beats and the game outcomes are set; the jokes, the staging and every line are yours. You get a full writer package: the character bible, every episode's beats and choices, how scenes play on screen, and two finished example seasons you can click through.

Length: one character season, 8 episodes of roughly 190 to 250 words each (about 1,520 to 2,000 words in total).

AUDITION - Please mind the delivery format. Ability to deliver correctly formatted work will weigh strongly when choosing writers:

Episode 4, "The Qualifier"

Why this one: Her hype commentary aimed at the captain, at the start gate of an outlaw race.

What you need to know: Hana used to call races for a living, until she was banned from the commentary booth for calling her own illegal entries. She has entered the Nightstar, a fifty-thousand-ton warship, in an outlaw race. Rico Blaze is last year's winner.

What happens (the beats are fixed; the jokes, the staging and every line are yours):

- At the start gate, forty racing yachts line up beside one fifty-thousand-ton dreadnought. The race marshal is confused.

- She introduces the captain to the whole starting grid over the race PA like a returning champion. Rico Blaze, last year's winner, taunts the 'booth girl'.

- The lights go green, and an enemy patrol notices the race.

Then the player picks one of these:

1. Race and fight at the same time.

2. Let her find the racing line through the patrol.

3. Enter Yuki's drones too. (only offered if Yuki is aboard)

Write: the scene (3 to 8 lines), then the result of ONE choice of your pick (up to 5 lines). A spoken line is up to 40 words.

Format: copy this layout exactly. Auditions that follow it score higher.

BODY

[beat] Narration the player reads. Nobody speaks.

HANA (how it's said): A spoken line.

DECK OFFICER (flat) {sweat}: Other speakers work the same way. The {emote} is optional.

CHOICE 2

LABEL: The button text, in the captain's voice. ("Ask her...", "Tell him...")

RESULT

HANA (how it's said): What happens after that choice.
