A lovably dim gunner with one dream, to blow up a star someday, and one limit: one explosion a day, and then he falls over.

The archetype, Bakadere: Lovably dim and chaotic; the enthusiasm always outruns the thinking.

What it means: From baka (idiot). Sweet, clumsy, and fearless because it hasn't occurred to them to be afraid.

Where the comedy is: Doing the dumbest possible thing with total confidence, and sometimes getting it right by accident.

Well-known examples: Megumin (KonoSuba), Luffy's single-mindedness (One Piece).

Built from: Gintama's Katsura ('It's not Boom, it's Taiga!'), My Hero Academia's Bakugo, Naruto's Deidara (his rival's 'art is a bang'), Soul Eater's Black Star, KonoSuba's one-explosion-a-day as a nod.

The menace: One explosion a day, whatever it's next to. The incantation eats the combat window.

How Taiga sounds: Adult man. Loud, bright, enthusiastic, never mean. The incantation is delivered like grand opera. Even his quietest scene (reading his crayon notes on how stars work) is proud, not sad.

The season (8 episodes): An explosion comedy: the dream (EP1), the one-a-day limit (EP2), the bill (EP3), the twelfth exam (EP4), the rival artist (EP5), the countdown (EP6), learning how stars work (EP7), and the one big one that matters (EP8).

The job: write Taiga's whole season as short scenes, in our plain-text script format. The story beats and the game outcomes are set; the jokes, the staging and every line are yours. You get a full writer package: the character bible, every episode's beats and choices, how scenes play on screen, and two finished example seasons you can click through.

Length: one character season, 8 episodes of roughly 190 to 250 words each (about 1,520 to 2,000 words in total).

Episode 2, "Explosion"

Why this one: A four-minute incantation, one explosion a day, and somebody has to carry him.

What you need to know: Taiga is a lovably dim gunner who dreams of blowing up a star someday. He can manage one explosion a day, and it takes a very long incantation. He hates being called 'Boom'.

What happens (the beats are fixed; the jokes, the staging and every line are yours):

- In combat he takes the gunnery chair and begins his incantation.

- Four minutes later, with the enemy frigate long gone, he finishes it and blows up a small asteroid, then falls face down on the deck.

- One explosion a day. That's the rule. Somebody has to carry him.

Then the player picks one of these:

1. Carry him yourself.

2. Ask him to skip the chant next time.

3. Hear Hinata's request. (only offered if Hinata is aboard)

Write: the scene (3 to 8 lines), then the result of ONE choice of your pick (up to 5 lines). A spoken line is up to 40 words.

Format: copy this layout exactly. Auditions that follow it score higher.
