Thank you for your interest and your take! As for feedback: your audio quality is quite good and the performance in of itself is good, but to be truthful I don't believe it's the right fit for this role. The character is very economical with her words, so the voice itself needs to carry a great deal of inherent charisma and presence. While your lines did indeed have color, for this part it wasn't the most fitting shade and hue.
I didn't want to rule out American accents entirely, however General American accents can easily slant into a casual, contemporary speech pattern. For this ancient sorceress, texture is key, however it is achieved. Your performance leaned a bit into the modern cadence, and I need her sounding from a different time and place.
I will absolutely keep you in mind for future opportunities however, I hope you stick with it.
First off, thank you so much for taking the time to provide this feedback. This honestly excited me more than getting shortlisted. The value of your feedback really helps me to understand what I am missing when doing my auditions and also confirmed the strengths. I now am even more excited for when your game comes out. I am definitely going to keep auditioning for roles and continue to develop my craft in auditions like this which are outside of my traditional castings. I truly hope you find the perfect voice for this character. I will follow along to see the process of your project and will be cheering it on!
My pleasure, and thank you very much!
