Thank you for applying to Mine ! I really liked going through your work.

Before deciding, I'm asking each shortlisted writer to do a short test scene (300-500 words, script or prose).

The test scene: Mia, 13, is trapped inside her own journal. The world looks like yellowed paper drawn in shaky black ink. She enters a distorted version of her old kitchen, with the words she once wrote ("you're useless") scrawled across the walls. It's her first memory, and she has to choose: face it or run.

Focus on her emotions rather than showing violence. The horror should come from the atmosphere. Please include one choice moment for the player.

Mine deals with childhood abuse and trauma, so please handle it with care.

It's unpaid, and I'll never use your test in the game without your agreement and credit. Send it within 3 days if you can.
