Unannounced Game Voice Acting Roles
Mike Harrison-Wood for British Adult Male
British Adult Male
British male, late 30s to 50s.
A mid-to-low register with a dry, lightly textured tone and a restrained, educated English accent. Precise diction, measured pace and quiet authority. He sounds like a professional who expects people to listen without needing to raise his voice.
Polite, particular and faintly weary of everyone else’s decisions. His humour comes from delivering an absurd observation with complete sincerity. Avoid a theatrical posh accent, sinister villain voice or bumbling accountant stereotype.
He addresses the player as “sir” naturally—sometimes respectfully, sometimes with the smallest trace of disapproval. Under pressure, his sentences get shorter and his politeness becomes unusually exact. When genuine concern breaks through, he loses the professional phrasing and speaks plainly.
Dry disapproval: “Sir, that is not profit. That is cash in a bag. There’s rather a lot between the two.”
Under pressure, clipped: “Close the laptop. Take the envelope. We can discuss your initiative in the car.”
Quiet, unexpectedly personal: “You came back for me. …I hadn’t accounted for that.”
