Blazblue: Central Fiction English Dub
allen the ultimate gamer for Naoto Kurogane
Naoto has a rough personality. Due to owning the special power of the "Eye of the Hunter," he has experienced many hardships, and he deeply wishes to lead an ordinary and peaceful life. However, because he has a strong sense of justice and can't help but assist those in trouble, he sometimes gets himself tangled in problems. He's not afraid of acting, but often does so before thinking. He's also a loudmouth.
In BlazBlue: Central Fiction: Naoto is an outsider who arrived from a parallel world to search for a girl called Raquel Alucard. He has the "Eye of the Hunter" that can see the strength of a person's lifeforce, and is the owner of the Drive "Bloodedge" that allows him to fight with weapons made from blood. Opening his eyes to the unfamiliar land of Kagutsuchi and disoriented enough to not know his right from his left, he asks around for "a blonde girl with pale skin, wearing black ribbons that look like rabbit ears."
(Falling) "WAH! Oof...Ow, I landed on my head...where is this place? Oh no...don't tell me that I'm in some sort of anime game!"
"Get out of the way! I don't have time for this!"
"The hell? Raquel? What are you doing here? What am I doing here?""Hey, um, ma'm, you're...um...kinda flashing me"
"
While I appreciate the reaudition, I was clear of what type of voice I was looking for Naoto, which you did not show off.
That doesn't mean I can't try.
The fact that you didn't at first worries me when I was clear in the description what I wanted. You're better than that, please don't do that again
So basically if I don't sound exactly like Roger Craig Smith I don't have a chance at all? Well isn't that reasurring, can't I try my own voice with the character even if it doesn't sound like RCS?
You already did, and you aren't understanding why this is a problem. You of all people know that if the director asks for a specific voice for a character either in an audition, or when recording lines, you can ask questions, but this is what they ultimately want. Essentially, you're asking "Can I not sound like what you want and still get in", which you should already know the answer. This is not my fault for telling you that you didn't follow the directions and thought it would be fine, You're welcome to try again, but do NOT blame a casting director for disapproving an audition that wasn't what they wanted when they were clear on it.
