Clint Barton, AKA Hawkeye, used to be in a circus run by a supervillan named The Swordsman. When the swordsman offered Clint a spot in his crime spree, Clint declined and was left for dead after a brutal battle with the Swordsman. He later joined the Avengers and fights alongside them against evil.
