Hi! My name is Mark, 24 YO.
Pronouns are He/They and I am also non-binary.

I am currently training to become a voice actor and have recently started pursuing VA/VO more seriously. Started doing this in Feb 2026.

My interest in voice acting goes back to when I was around 18, watching anime dub for the first time and being fascinated by how voice actors could bring characters to life with such unique tones, emotions, and range. The way they made scenes feel real and impactful always stuck with me!

Over time, through watching anime dubs, animations, TV shows, and playing games like Honkai: Star Rail, I built a deep appreciation for character performance and storytelling. Recently, I decided to take that step and see how far I can push myself in this field!

Right now, I’m focused on learning, improving, and understanding how to deliver authentic emotion and make each character feel alive. I want to make the most out of my voice and develop something that feels unique to me.

Voice acting also means a lot to me on a personal level. Anime and games have helped me through some difficult times, so being able to now step into this space and create something of my own feels really meaningful.

I’m excited to grow, take on new challenges, and bring characters to life!

One thing I’ve been curious about as I continue training: when do voice actors need to use a different kind of voice versus their natural speaking voice? I’ve noticed that in a lot of anime dubs, actors often sound close to their real voice, while in other projects it seems like more stylized or distinct voices are required. I’d love to better understand when and why that shift happens!
