I think your second take was better. but the voice ultimately does not sound too natural. There where also simply auditions with better audio setup. The first take was lacking quite a bit of emotion, which you did add during your second take.

Indeed, I do have audio equipment that is on the cheaper side. I will continue to improve my performance skills, as well as work on my audio equipment budget when the time comes.
