Role Description: Sylvester is a dreadful lizard pirate captain whose ambition knows no bounds. Once a scourge of the seas, he now seeks to overthrow the Pirate Queen, crown himself Pirate King, and wage war on the surface kingdoms. A ruthless predator, he is driven not by justice or greed, but by vengeance — determined to make the world suffer as he has suffered. Every word is steeped in menace, every command carries the weight of a storm. He is a symbol of terror on the open seas: relentless, merciless, and impossible to forget the fires he leaves in his wake.
Personality Traits:
Ruthless and merciless; rules through fear and violence.
Charismatic in a sinister way — draws people in even as he frightens them.
Consumed by vengeance and wrath; destruction is both his tool and his goal.
Patient and calculating beneath the rage; he knows when to wait and when to strike.
Sees the world as cruel and broken, and seeks to make it burn in return.
Voice Notes:
Vocal Range: Low to mid-low male. Deep, commanding, with a gravelly undertone.
Tone/Style: Sinister yet oddly charismatic. Each word drips with menace, but there’s a hypnotic, almost lyrical rhythm in his delivery. He should sound like a captain who has seen centuries of betrayal, loss, and stormy seas.
Extras: Occasional hiss or rasp, subtle reptilian inflection in sibilants; deliberate pacing, as if savoring every word. When angered, his voice should rumble like a storm about to break.
Voice Reference:
Davy Jones (Pirates of the Caribbean) – for depth, menace, and rhythm. Youtube Link
A humanoid lizard twist: add a reptilian hiss, rasp, or tongue-flicking emphasis on “s” and “sh” sounds.
(Low, slow, sinister charisma — savoring every word, with reptilian hiss on “s”) “They call me monster, abomination… yet who made me so? Their chains, their cruelty, their lies. Now, I give them back their hatred — with interest.”
(Taunting, mocking, theatrical menace — a cruel captain enjoying the chase) “You think the ocean is your friend? Ha! She is a cruel mistress, loyal to no soul but mine. And tonight… she sings your dirge.”
(Explosive wrath — starts low and controlled, then builds into a storm-like roar) “Your kingdoms will burn, your ships will sink, and your children will choke on salt and smoke! I will scour this world clean until only my name remains!”
super dynamic audition! Solid Work!
