The corpulent king of Westeros. He loves to fight, drink, and sleep with women, and he hates the duties of ruling. He and Ned are long-time friends, and he was engaged to Ned’s sister until she died.

The sides they read from:

  • The gods be damned. It was a hollow victory they gave me. A crown... it was the girl I prayed them for. Your sister, safe ... and mine again, as she was meant to be. I ask you, Ned, what good is it to wear a crown? The gods mock the prayers of kings and cowherds alike.

  • Fat? Fat, is it? Is that how you speak to your king? Ah, damn you, Ned, why are you always right?

  • STOP THIS MADNESS, IN THE NAME OF YOUR KING!
