Flipping Is Hard - Narrator
Richard Gibson for Narrator
The narrator is witty, articulate, and a little mischievous. Their role is to guide the player through a ridiculous and frustrating world, but always with a clear, confident tone that feels in control - even when the player is not.
Style:
Similar to The Stanley Parable - dry, tongue-in-cheek, slightly condescending, but still charming.
Tone:
Clear and engaging, with subtle humor in the delivery. The voice should feel like it’s “in on the joke.”
Role:
Acts as both commentator and storyteller, adding personality to the game while keeping the player entertained (and occasionally mocked).
Energy:
Balanced - calm narration most of the time, with the ability to punch up lines for comedic or dramatic emphasis.

His mom called him home. He ignored her. Rookie mistake... She shouted again, furious: “Jeff! Home! Now!”
The phone tumbled through darkness, shot out into a world of nostalgic junk, and crashed through an old elephant’s house.
It blinked awake and muttered: “Dang… I gotta flip back to my Jeffy.”
