Maverick is an antagonist in School Bus Graveyard. He seems to be affiliated with the Crane organization and the contamination facility.

His personality is strange and mysterious; he seems malevolent and professional in some scenes, but also caring and gentle in others (well, "caring").

As Mr. Thomas, he at first wears the facade of a cheerful and understanding teacher, being quick to allow Taylor and Tyler into class when they're late and getting the students rooms on their field trip. However, later, he reveals his more malevolent side when he and other members of the Crane Gang kidnap the Main Gang, and he shows a savior complex whilst telling Ashlyn she and her friends are sick.
