Role went to:
Gray
Originally the main protagonist in the series, Atsushi remains as Akutagawa’s primary rival, but has now been positioned as the main antagonist. Atsushi was notably insecure and timid in regards to his abilities in the original series, and this has instead been used as his motivation for his position as the villain. His fear is what motivates him to kill and hurt others, being that he can’t be afraid if he destroys that which scares him. Atsushi’s voice should be on the softer side, hiding a fearful innocence beneath his intensity and bloodlust.

The sides they read from:
If I can become one with death, then death will never be able to find me.
*To his partner* No..! If I lose control, I’d put you in danger too.
*Panicked, desperate* NO! NO, I… I’M NOT AFRAID…
