His role has surprisingly changed very little compared to the original story. Though well-intentioned, he’s a bit of a stickler for rules-often trying to instruct Akutagawa to the best of his abilities, only to find that Akutagawa is more comfortable using less conventional methods. Kunikida should sound firm and reliable, but possibly a bit too strict as well.
