The objective is not to sound like you are reading; you're supposed to be retelling a story. I expect you to edit your work.

  • Of what use was it to be loved and lose one's beauty and become Real if it all ended like this? And a tear, a real tear, trickled down his little shabby velvet nose and fell to the ground.

And then a strange thing happened. For where the tear had fallen a flower grew out of the ground, a mysterious flower, not at all like any that grew in the garden. It had slender green leaves the colour of emeralds, and in the centre of the leaves a blossom like a golden cup. It was so beautiful that the little Rabbit forgot to cry, and just lay there watching it. And presently the blossom opened, and out of it there stepped a fairy.

  • She was quite the loveliest fairy in the whole world. Her dress was of pearl and dew-drops, and there were flowers round her neck and in her hair, and her face was like the most perfect flower of all. And she came close to the little Rabbit and gathered him up in her arms and kissed him on his velveteen nose that was all damp from crying.

"Little Rabbit," she said, "don't you know who I am?

"The Rabbit looked up at her, and it seemed to him that he had seen her face before, but he couldn't think where.

  • "I am the nursery magic Fairy," she said. "I take care of all the playthings that the children have loved. When they are old and worn out and the children don't need them any more, then I come and take them away with me and turn them into Real."

"Wasn't I Real before?" asked the little Rabbit.

"You were Real to the Boy," the Fairy said, "because he loved you. Now you shall be Real to every one."

A recording attempt I have done, its not perfect sadly with quite a few bits I can hear now that I am not in editing mode and in listen mode, but would be happy for any feedback!

Went back and edited a few things that were annoying me (clicks and some parts) and reuploaded! Same link!

I appreciate that you edited out most of the clicks. They annoyed me, too, lol:P. Anyway, the rest are harder to get rid of in editing, so the better approach is to try to prevent them in the first place. Try eating slices of the granny smith variety of apples. Those are supposed to work better than just drinking water or eating salty foods. You had some trouble enunciating the word 'velvet' when it first came up. I see that on top of that, you asked for $110 - you do know from reading the description that is 100 times more than what we are offering for winning auditions, right ? We have no outside funding. I am sorry to disappoint you. If you decide to audition again, please do not blast me out w/the uncalled for bit on the end again. Thanks.

Hi there, thanks for the feedback. As for the price, I had given a scroll through to see what other users were asking and offerd a lower price from what I saw - after placing that and looking through the others and your comments I understand what you are trying to do. I'd be happy to help with the cause for now :) Not sure what you are referring to to the 'blasting out' - was not intended if you took the comment that way :) I can resend the audition with an amended price shortly.

I was referring to the bit of loud music I heard at the end thru my headphones w/the volume on full that I was totally not expecting.

Oh that! Sorry, that's something Soundcloud does, it will queue up something else that either you 'may' like or just randomly selects from some kind of playlist they create. Its nothing I have put in there, I assure you. I'm happy to send the pure files over or just re record and upload straight to CastingCall, sans any online interference.
