Mayor of Ponyville doesn't have a voice reference. She just needs to sound mature. Apple boom just needs some southern twang in her little voice. She is a child.
MAYOR:
Oh, Beacon! There you are! It's a disaster! The bowling alley has disappeared, Droopy's Muffins no longer has muffins, the weather is changing every thirty minutes, and the town hall is flopped right upside down!! HOW CAN YOU HAVE A BUILDING UPSIDE DOWN AND STILL STAND?!
APPLE BOOM:
Well hey there, they ain't very nice!
This is a very cute apple boom. I have no idea why Mayor became spike as they are two completely different voices. Maybe you are pinching your throat too much when recording? They mayor is an open voice and much more mature. Not so posh and regal like Celestia, but she also has a mature tone to her words. Feel free to still try for the mayor.
Because they're originally by the same voice actress and I CAN'T unhear it. The similarities are very clear to me.
Not entirely sure I will have Apple Boom in this yet, but you will be her if I do. :) Very cute. Also, when you audition, you should cut out that first few seconds of silence unless asked for room tone. Takes a long time for your audition to start.
