SmashMaster for Carter Granholme/Lightbringer
On daytime Carter Granholme is the hard-working owner of a furniture store but at nights he defends the innocent as his world’s first superhero with the power to bend light energy as he pleases. Lightbringer is the only one of the heroes who has faced the Smiling Man before so knowing his murderous habits made it easy for him to join in bringing him down. However he may be too devoted to serving justice for he doesn’t believe in moral compromises which can cause tension with his fellow team mates.
[Ringo has told the heroes the Smiling Man’s origin asks their help in stopping him.] “Of course! Count me in! I won’t let this monster get away with his evil any longer! We’ve all suffered… lost someone... but we didn’t turn murderer and endanger all reality!”
[Green Avenger is telling about how she almost stopped being a hero at all.] “I’ve come close to that, too. My parents brought me up as a total pacifist… sometimes I feel like I’m betraying their ideals.”
[Lightbringer has gotten fed up with Mindmistress after hearing that she once killed a criminal.] “You’re a frickin’ sociopath! You have no regards for the lives of others; you decide who lives and who dies, you screw around with people’s memories without their consent! You take over that other woman’s body just so you can run around and play scientist!”
