The Stable Hymn: A Christmas song
Maria Campos for Donkey
The donkey that Mary rode on into Bethlehem before Jesus was born. Can be male or female.
I bore a Mother weary and worn, / I bore her tired and so forlorn. / I bore her through the wind and rain, / And I would bear her over again.
I bore her past the crowded inn / Where no one dared to let her in. / I bore her to a stable low / Where only sheep and oxen go.
Oh, see the babe on Mary’s knee / As I bore her, so I bore He.

Don't worry about sharing a recording of your other singing - very few other people auditioning did that. However, I think I've already got this role filled, I just haven't made it official yet because there are two people (both male VAs) that I haven't cast yet. One auditioned on this site, and one did not, but I want to cast the roles of Rooster and Donkey to them. I haven't decided on which, yet. I could cast you as one of the camels or shepherds, maybe. However, there were more incorrect notes in your audition than I felt comfortable with. I understand that singers sometimes audition with deliberately incorrect notes so that their recording can't be used, but only one or two. I appreciate you going to the effort to audition, though! I'm glad you were interested in my project enough to do that.
Hello, and thank you for the reply. I would be interested in playing a camel or shepherd. I can record a verse with more accurate notes if you'd like, just let me know what you would like me to read~
