ZERO HOUR RECKONING - A Fortnite Short Film for FortShorts
Project Overview
Hello,
We create short films set in the Fortnite universe. Our content is rated PG-13 and presented in episodic format. Our goal is to make the game’s complex story fun, engaging, and easy to follow, blending cinematic action, humor, and character-driven moments.
Note: Some characters COULD be set to return in future episodes, giving you the opportunity to reprise roles and explore their growth over time!

One Long video; the script is 90 pages long.

Creative freedom: We encourage actors to bring personality and interpretation to their characters, while staying true to the script.

Growth & opportunities: Strong performances can lead to recurring roles, larger parts, or participation in special seasonal projects.
Recognition: You’ll be credited in our YouTube video descriptions with your preferred name and social media link. Recommendation letters on CCC are available on request.
Key Considerations
No Fortnite experience needed: You do not need to know the game to participate.
We do not use AI: Ever. All performances are human-driven.
Equipment requirements: A good microphone and quiet recording space are required. Some lines may involve yelling, so your mic must handle high volumes without distortion.
Recording expectations: When hired, we ask that each line be recorded with a minimum of two takes to ensure the best performance. Any additional retakes would be scheduled at a later time if needed.
Feedback & communication: Having a Discord account is preferred but not mandatory. We use it for easy communication and to provide feedback on your performance, but we can also use other methods. This allows you to record your lines when it’s most convenient for you.
Deadlines: Scripts are usually due within 3–5 days.
Commitment: While there’s no binding contract, we hope you can complete your role once you start.
Script length & screen time: Scripts average 40 pages, but characters usually appear for 2–5 minutes depending on importance.
Tone: Our shorts combine cinematic action, humor, and emotional moments. Be prepared to perform a range of expressions, from comedic timing to dramatic intensity.
Season pacing: Seasons typically last around 80 days, aligned with Fortnite’s schedule. We usually release 1–5 videos per season, though some seasons may have fewer depending on content.

Agent Stryker is a sharp-edges analyst whose calm precision masks a restless drive to prove himself. He thrives in the tactical shadows, parsing data and identifying anomalies that others overlook, but his hunger for recognition often pushes him to take risks beyond protocol. Wanting to be seen as more than just a ‘Desk Agent’

Weaver is a vigilant communications officer who when pressed can turn intimidating. Defined by her ability to detect threats early and her relentless drive to keep the team connected, even when interference threatens to sever their lifeline.

Scout is a frontline enforcer whose job is containment. He takes personal offence to anyone bending protocol - especially John Jones. His strength lies in vigilance: He spots irregularities, flags breaches, and never lets an operative slip by without scrutiny.

Ensemble Lead
Onyx Winter is a commanding and enigmatic presence, defined by her cold presence and unyielding pride. She is someone who seems destined to shape the course of events, whether through alliance or opposition. Yet beneath her composure lies a deep rooted isolation: Onyx believes that herself and only herself knows the right path forward. Her strength is undeniable, but it is tempered by a refusal to seek forgiveness or vulnerability. Which makes her untrustworthy even when her goals align with those around her. These are flaws she realizes she must overcome, but only when it's too late.

Lt. Ripp Slade is a hardened and uncompromised soldier, whose entire identity is built around discipline, loyalty, and the relentless pursuit of order. Beneath his grit lies a man defined by conflict-his devotion to success often clashes with those seeking survival in the chaos around him. Slade’s strength is his unwavering resolve, but it is also his greatest flaw. As he demands loyalty but rarely offers trust. This aside, Slade is OXR's most valuable asset'

Flysebee is O.X.R. 's very own eccentric scientist, a manic tinkerer whose brilliance is matched only by bizarre habits. His strength is his unpredictable genius: He can conjure breakthroughs from nonsense, turning discarded ideas into dangerous innovations. He is both a comic relief and critical asset, a figure whose buzzing quirks mask a mind capable of turning the tides of war
