Xenosaga: The Abridged (Read description)
Project Overview
This casting call will be a month, perhaps with an extension if it's needed. But the sooner we get our full cast, the better! These characters show up between Episodes 2 and 6, and stay in as main cast members. Extras can be found on the Episode 1 casting call page.

We have the second episode's script done now, and pieces of episodes 3 and 4! In a very comfortable place to start casting if we get the perfect voices, so don't delayyy! You could be the voice we're looking for and not even know it!
General things you need!
We'd like to have good quality audio! It doesn't need to be perfect or professional, but the better the quality audio, the better it'll be for your chances to get chosen(though for this I'm going for pure skill on portraying our abridged versions of the characters!)
Be dedicated! I'm not sure how often we'll be doing the episodes. Likely once a month or something, I'm not very fast with editing, and it's my first abridged series, but I do have some help with it! :) so hopefully, if casting goes quickly enough, we can really get this moving!
Be punctual! When I give a deadline for lines, I'd like it to be followed. A day or two late is usually fine, but a week late or more and I might have to re-cast, no hard feelings, I just need to make sure we can get these out in a timely manner! Besides, the series is only 12 episodes... ; u ; please don't make me have to have a new Shion every episode... D;
Have skype! This is an optional point, but getting to know the other actors/actresses, talk things through, maybe even do read-throughs of parts of the script together! It can all help a lot with your acting! Also it's always fun to make friends! If you don't have skype though, at least have an e-mail that I can contact you with, so I can get lines from you and such! :)

If you don't think you'll enjoy this for whatever reason, I'd rather not have an audition. ; n ; this isn't professional by any means, and you won't be getting paid, so why not just have some fun with it! Me and my crew are having loads of fun already! :D Hopefully you will, too!

Gaignun Kukai, chairman of the Kukai Foundation, prides himself on his life's work. He is a gentle soul, but not afraid to be blunt about things that are sensitive to others. He's adored by many, and well respected among all. He outwardly acts as a father figure to Jr. Though truthfully, they are brothers.
Voice: Medium-Low tone. His voice should hold authority in a gentle way. Kindness, but strength. He knows he's adored, and while he sometimes will roll around in said adoration, he also respects those around, who respect him.
That Shion girl... She acts dumb, but I think she's on to the fact that we've got super powers.
Now, now, it's not that she doesn't want to talk to you... it's that she can't stand the very thought of it.

chaos is a very faithful man. He's kind-hearted and believes strongly in god. Probably because he's actually Jesus.
Voice: Medium to Medium-high. He should have a soft, gentle tone that clearly demonstrates his kindness.

The Red Testament is a mysterious figure who works for Wilhelm. He has a calm presence that gives off the vibe of "is this guy really evil??" but as far as anyone's concerned... Yes. Yes he is.
Voice: Any tone. It was deeper in the anime adaptation of the story, but in the game it was a medium sort of tone. I'd like him to have a softer voice, like in the games but the pitch can be anywhere.

Pellegri is the inquisitor of the secret society, Ormus. She is right-hand to Margulis, and is fairly rash at times, and bossy to those beneath her.
Voice: Medium to Medium-low. Powerful and a little condescending. She's an obvious bad-guy.
I thought I told you bastards to hit that damn ship! You're missing by like, a mile!

Shelley is the navigator onboard the Durandal. Often the more sensible of the three commanding people on the bridge of the ship, she is calm and collected at almost all times.
Voice: Medium-low to Low. Calm, collected voice. Perhaps a little apathetic or bored sounding at times, though caring. Almost motherly.
Of course, Little Master. And you'll finally meet MOMO. The Shippening is at hand.

Wilhelm is the CEO of Vector Industries. As such he holds a lot of power over the entire galaxy, as his company has created many, if not all of the weapons used, keeping the strongest ones in the hands of a select few- himself being the first recipient. He has a darker side that no one knows about but his very close circle of followers, The Testaments.
Voice: Medium tone. His voice should be very calm. Perhaps a bit quiet. He is evil, but not an obnoxious evil. He's quite to-himself about many things, and would sooner give his foe the whispering of a lifetime, than anything else.
I see. She must be confused.
Good.... Yes, good.. But she'll still protect Miss Uzuki, won't she?
We must obey the Magic Green Cube, so long as it shall spin...
Ziggy's seen some shit, yo. His wife and daughter died long in the past, and after giving up his body as an organ doner, he was placed into the experimental life recycling act and reborn as a cyborg, though all he wishes, is to join his family in the afterlife.
Voice: Medium-low to Low. He should honestly sound like he doesn't care about much on the outside, but inside needs to have enough portrayal of emotion that you know he's a cyborg, not an android.
Move MOMO, get out' the way!

Juli is a very important woman in the galaxy, being the one to form the "Subcommittee on Close Encounters" (the S.O.C.E.), and widow to Dr. Joachim Mizrahi; the mind behind the 100 Series Realian. She is concidered as a mother, by MOMO, but doesn't seem to enjoy the idea, due to her past.
Voice: Medium to Medium-low. Strict and refined. She's a woman of power, though she does have a more gentle side if needed.

MOMO is the prototype 100 series realian and thinks of her creator and his wife as her mother and father, even though her "mother" seems to care little for her, save the data that was stored within her before her father died.
Voice: Medium-high to high. A childlike sense of naivety and playfulness should be apparent in the tone.

Mary is Shelley's hyper-active younger sister. She's incredibly excitable and can often be found... well, being loud. She's a playful, young spirit, but isn't afraid to get serious when the time calls for it.
Voice: Medium-high. Heavilly accented (Southern). Incredibly energetic and a little obnoxious.
Wow, Li'l Master, they sure can take a hit! Think we got enough fire power to break through?

Captain Matthews is a man that cares about nothing more than his ship. Second runner up is money, though. Which he owes a LOT of, to Gaignun Kukai. Debts are high and still he finds himself in situation after situation that keeps him from making what he needs to pay them off.
Voice: Medium to Medium-low. Slightly gruff but not too much.
Not illegal if ya don't get caught, kid.

Your typical worry-wart, slightly goody-two shoes. Hammer works aboard Captain Matthews' ship, The Elsa, as the Navigator. Often terrified of how Tony flies, and getting into legal trouble with the crew. They're salvagers, and he doesn't really like any part of it.
Voice: Medium tone. A little nerdy on this one, but don't go overboard.
Look, I'm not sure this wreckage is even gonna be enough. You owe Gaignun a lot of money, Captain.

Jr. is a little reble, to put lightly. He lives life in the fast lane and usually just wants to have some fun, though it usually ends up with him in trouble.
Voice: Medium to Medium-high. He's a child; think like.. the kids from Dragon Ball, or Ash from Pokemon kind of tones. Lots of energy needed, so make sure you can make the tone but keep your energy levels high. He's voiced by Brianne Siddall in the games, and Greg Ayres in the anime, give an idea.
Uh, duh, Mary! Of course we have enough fire power, but do you really think destroying their ship with one hit would be any fun?!

Tony is the Pilot of the Elsa. Like his Captain, he's in it for the money, but also a little for the girls. The way he flies, one might think he doesn't give a damn about the ship, but deep down he loves it as much as Matthews does. Unlike his friend Hammer, he doesn't give a damn about the authorities, either.
Voice: Medium tone. Energetic, kind of jock-y? A lady's man and a money-man. Just wants to live his life.
Oh woah! Big-bucks, Captain! Dead ahead! One of those fancy-schmancy ships!
