Project Overview

Calling all wrestlemaniacs and talented voice actors alike!

This is an important announcement for looking a potential voice actor in taking the role of the main announcer for a fun wrestling project, involving original characters and a chaotic atmosphere, and WE NEED YOU TO BE THE VOICE we’re looking for!

Here are some things to expect from this role:

  • Record yourself announcing up to 30-40 wrestlers entering the ring.

  • Record yourself announcing up to 30-40 wrestlers winning the match.

  • Not all of the recordings will show up in the final product, but we will provide you with the necessary footage.

You will be provided with pre-recorded footage of these matches from 2k25, of which you can reference it for your voice recordings if it makes things easier for you.

Here is what we NEED from a talented voice actor such as yourself for this role:

  • Must be 18 or older to participate.

  • Present a very powerful voice that hypes up the match for each wrestler coming into the ring, and also winning the match.

  • Must show in your recordings that you’re loud and proud, but not too much to the point that peaks the audio. Silent yelling or mumbling will not be accepted, sorry.

  • Must present effort with your voice in being immersed and authentic as possible with the provided video footage, making the viewers feel that YOU are in the game.

  • Tip: Watch some clips of wrestling matches to get a feel of how to sound authentic with your announcer voice.

  • Do not use A.I to record lines and submit them as legitimate voiceovers.

  • Voice filters are allowed, but please make sure the lines are easy to understand and to also include the original unedited version of your voiceovers.

  • Most importantly: Have fun with the project!

As for equipment, we recommend just about anything that won’t pick up too much background noise or echo in the raw file. If you have an XLR setup, that's even better, but I'm not too picky (except for the acting part).

The deadline for this project may vary, but will be estimated for completion by either late summer or early winter of this year. To complete your voice work, it must be done no later than June 30th, at 11:59pm Pacific Timezone (PST). Once all the recordings have been completed, payment will be compensated and you will be credited for your hard work.

I'm looking forward to hearing all of your awesome auditions for this role, and hopefully one of you will be chosen to be apart of this fun project that will presented on YouTube for many to watch.

  • UPDATE: The voice has been chosen!

    This is a follow up post to the previous update: Thank you everyone for submitting in all your amazing voices for this project! Unfortunately, we only had to pick one out of the 56 submissions we've received, and had voted the best voice that fits the most for this project.

    Note: Any complications with the chosen voice for this role will be reconsidered with the next best in line.

    We will keep you all up to date with any new changes to the project, and if any more roles related to the project are available in the future.

  • UPDATE: Audition is closed and we're now picking the voice!

    Thank you all for those who had submitted in an audition take for this special role! There are a lot of good contenders here, of which I will have a group to vote on who gets to be the voice of the announcer!

    Keep in mind that when you are chosen, you will be swiftly DM'ed with all the information needed to process this job smoothly. It will take about two-three days to decide on who gets the role, before announcing the final update for this casting call.

    Again, thank you all for lending your talented voices for this project! I wish I could get more of you in here for this role, but there's only space for one voice at the moment.
