Project Overview
Greetings, everyone! My name is Val and I'm here opening a new fan dub project on an amazing WEBTOON known as Winter Moon.
What is Winter Moon?
Winter Moon is a fantasy WEBTOON created by Merryweather and Mayui, taking place in a popular online RPG game known as "Magnolia Online". A gay sorcerer and a seductive priestess cross paths, and together, along with their tired friend Gideon, venture into many shenanigans and anything that comes their way as the infamous guild known as "Winter Moon".

Who We Are + What to Expect
I'm a Director and Voice Actress for an online voice acting channel called Voice Acting Cafe. So far, we are a small channel that has released an ongoing fan dub of another WEBTOON known as Purple Hyacinth by Sophism and Ephemerys. As our channel grows, we are looking to release more voice acting content other than Purple Hyacinth, and we're super excited to be taking on this project!
Before auditioning, please read the following carefully:
- This project is UNPAID. We are in no way making a profit out of these videos, but instead doing it for fun.
- This project contains SWEARING, VERBAL ABUSE, and LGBTQ+ content. If you are uncomfortable with any of the following, please do not audition.
- This'll be a LONG-TERM project. The web-comic itself is ongoing. If you land a role, we ask that you please stay committed to the project!
- Videos will be POSTED WEEKLY on our YouTube channel. Because the episodes themselves are really short, we should be able to post once a week.
Requirements
- Have a decent microphone quality with little to no background noise.
- Have a Discord so we can contact you and invite you to our Discord server! Make sure to drop it in your audition.
- Must be at least 13 years old to audition.
- Be able to turn in lines within the given deadline. Though, if more time is needed, please communicate that with us!
- Have fun & be respectful! We will not tolerate any toxic behavior in this project.

Bob is a player classed as a Fighter. Although he appears to be a giant, muscular man, Bob is quite a pure & sheepish character. He's very lovable and will do anything to protect his friends.
There's no specific range we want, but we like to think he has a bit of a silly, dopey voice!
[apologetic, friendly] Ah, sorry! I didn't mean to disturb your date with Risa... hehe..
[inspirational, determined] I might be nothing more than a dumb noob... But I won't let my friend lose because of me!
[running away, scared] You're the one that started talking to me first!!!
Easen is an 11 year old boy who is classed as a Druid. He is a sweet, pure yet mature character who also has terrible lag in his gameplay. Though he is lagging, it puts him at an advantage in which he is nearly invincible against threats.
We are looking for a youthful voice as Easen is a child.
[in awe] Wow! That's pretty cool!
[blushing, flustered] A-A-Are you okay?! Can I do anything to cheer you up?!
[serious and almost sinister] Hey old man... You need to quit gloating like that. It's immature.
Adelaide is a game master for the hit online RPG game "Magnolia Online". She is a charismatic, bubbly crowd-pleaser that is loved by many players in the game, while in reality she maintains a professional and leadership role for when she is on duty. Her first appearance begins with her emceeing for a grand tournament in which all the highest level guilds battle for a prize.
We are looking for a voice range of medium to medium-high.
[grand, announcing] Many high level guilds have arrived at Whitehaven this morning! Why? For the new expansion, of course! The boats will leave for the new continent of Altua at midnight, but before that, we'll be hosting a grand tournament! I'm Game Master Adelaide, your host for today!
[chatting during intermission] There's sooo many participants this year, but it's such a shame there's only one prize, huh?
[worried, panicked] Oh no, it's another Abu Qanasta [Ah-boo Ca-nah-sta]! I really don't want to talk to corporate about this...!
Katja is a devious thief. She meets the main characters tied up as she gets caught for stealing gold from one of the game's leading guilds. Her voice is full of energy and she often finds herself in the wrong place at the wrong time.
We are looking for a voice range of medium to medium-high.
[alone, reaching her destination] Ah, finally! I'm almost at Whitehaven! Hehehe... it took me a long time without any gold, but I'm nearly there!
[just ran off with all the gold] Hopefully, I'll never encounter those demons again... Oh well~ Time to check out my prize~
[concerned, surrounded by skeletons] Damn, I heard he was powerful... But that's a HUGE army for any necromancer to control!
WARNING: Scenes with this character involve heavy verbal abuse. If you are not comfortable with this, do not audition for this character!
Diederich is a high level Ministry officer as well as Risa's older brother (around his early 20's). Although he is her older brother, Diederich despises his little sister and often verbally abuses her out of anger from past family trauma. He is cold, short-tempered, and aggressive. Please be able to shout for this character as well as show expression!
We are looking for a voice range of medium to medium-low.
[commanding his guild] Ministry, fall in!
[cold, talking to his little sister] This game is the only break I get, and you being here ruins it for me. This is your last warning. Uninstall the game immediately.
[shouting, banging on the door] Risa, open the FUCKING DOOR! I'M DESTROYING YOUR COMPUTER! IF YOU DON'T OPEN THE DOOR THIS INSTANT, I'M BREAKING IT DOWN!
Valerius is an officer & knight in the top guild, Ministry. He is a charming, confident character with quiet a bit of flamboyancy. Though he tends to be a comedic character, he can be responsible when under threat. He is the brother of Ministry's Guild Master, Vanilla.
We are looking for a medium voice.
[trying to charm two girls] Hello there, ladies, it is I, Valerius! (gets rejected, defeated) ...Nobody recognizes me anymore.
[confident, brushing off] Doesn't matter! In this world, I'm not a businessman, I'm a gallant knight!
[in the front line of war, powerful] You have attacked the tournament of Whitehaven, and you have laid waste to our city! Today, we tolerate you no longer!
Inarin is an enchanter and potion merchant in the guild Sapphire Shade. He is quite a devious character and is eerily friendly when he talks. He takes pride in his trade and is often very cocky about his work as an enchanter.
We are looking for a soft, medium-high voice.
[suspiciously laughing to himself, gets asked about it] Hmm? It's nothing. Just checking out the competition.
[cocky, thinking to himself] Don't go underestimating us crafters, now. We're the ones providing the raiding guilds with gear, after all.
[malicious, grinning] Hah.. don't be silly. There's still two more rounds to go..
Allen is one half of a dynamic duo who calls themselves The Glitch Explorers. They look practically identical and always speak in rhyme. He is mysterious and enticing.
His voice needs to be medium to medium-high with a soft and eerie tone.
[sincere] Anyway, we can teach you how to make use of your powers- All you need to do is let us run some tests on you first.
[storytelling] Now Mr. Programmer had an idea... build a BIG online world like this one we hold dear.
[enticing] Care for a peek? We'll show you the truth and then we will speak.
Alexandra is the other half of a dynamic duo who calls themselves The Glitch Explorers. Just like her brother Allen, she is mysterious and enticing, and also speaks in rhyme when she alternates speech with Allen.
Her voice needs to be medium with a soft and eerie tone with slight angst.
[observing] Not quite what I expected. I stand corrected.
[explaining] We seek them out and secretly document them, all while we hide from the game masters.
[annoyed] Be quiet now, Easen! We're JUST getting there! Just a little more time, stopping us isn't fair.
Marianna is a player who falls in love with Gideon after being saved from a game boss. After their encounter, she attempts to join his guild, Winter Moon, but faces Risa who immediately drives her away. Eventually she comes back to challenge Risa for the way she had treated her.
We are looking for a soft medium to high, flustered voice but also be able to have determination when she challenges Risa.
[flustered, blushing] T-thank you so much...
[excited, in love] Ah, Gideon! We FINALLY meet again~!
[challenging, determined] Then I'll just prove myself in a duel against YOU, Risa!
There is a CRAZY ton of extras in this webtoon as it takes place in a popular MMORPG game! It would be a great help if we can have some to fill those in.
[panicked] He's setting the entire town on fire!
[angered] Attack them! They're raiding our base!
[gossiping] Yeah, I heard that nobody likes him.
