I'm a really big Musical Theatre fan and one of my favorite musicals is Wicked. So I thought it would be fun to do a fan cast recording. All the characters will be in the Ensemble. I'm not quite sure how we would be recording everyone's parts but if you have any suggestions let me know! We will be using Discord to communicate!

Galinda Upland, (originally referred to as Galinda of the Arduennas of the Uplands) who becomes known as simply "Glinda the Good Witch of the South" She is characterized by her popularity and ambition and for being a very bubbly and perky girl at Shiz University. Glinda at the beginning hates Elphaba and is quite mean to her in school but in the end, she becomes her best friend. At the end of the show, Glinda has grown to be a more wise and mature woman.
VOCAL RANGE: Soprano/Mezzo-Soprano.
Voice: Cutesy and bubbly. During Act 2 her voice should be light and pretty sounding.

The Wicked Witch of the West. Elphaba was born with emerald green skin, and she has had a rough childhood and is an outcast from the beginning. She's smart, fiery, sensitive, and passionate. She's not afraid to fight for what is right.

Elphaba's younger sister, she is spoiled by her father due to the face that she was born physically handicapped. Nessarose eventually falls hard for Boq, a Munkinkin. She possesses sympathetic and admirable qualities, but these are ultimately overshadowed by her increasingly uncompromising and self-righteous nature. She earns her infamous title upon becoming the Ruler of Munchkinland, on account of her harsh measures and for the use of sorcery to control her subjects.
VOCAL RANGE: Light and pretty mezzo-soprano.
She meets her demise when Dorothy's house lands on top of her, leaving only her enchanted shoes intact.

A helpless, quirky Munchkin who is enamored with Glinda, who pays him no mind, reluctantly, he becomes involved with Nessarose. In Act 2 he turns into the Tin Man during the song "The Wicked Witch of the East"

A handsome prince with a philosophy of “Dancing Through Life,” a wealthy party boy who at first is attracted to Glinda, initially he is shallow and self-absorbed, however, his growing relationship with Elphaba prompts him to reexamine his way of thinking. He is an Arjiki prince from the Vinkus

A distinguished and well-liked professor at Shiz University, a goat and the sole animal on the faculty, becomes a victim to the animal discrimination occurring in Oz.

A sorceress and the Headmistress of Shiz University. She's dignified, powerful, and haughty. She takes Elphaba under her wing and trains her in sorcery.
In the beginning, she seems kind but ends up showing her true colors.

As Press Secretary, I have striven to ensure that all of Oz

Then with a jealous squeal
The Wicked Witch burst from concealment
Where she had been lurking surrep'titially!
An old carnival huckster who blew into Oz in a hot air balloon from Omaha and became a false-faced leader. He is carried away by the belief of the people of Oz that he is "wonderful." He has always wanted to be a father and leaves Oz after being heartbroken by Elphaba's death after learning that she is his daughter from a night of passion he had when he was a salesman.
VOCAL RANGE: Tenor
Voice: A pleasant, warm and charming voice. He sounds somewhat young.

The mother of Elphaba and Nessarose. She is a lonely woman and seems to not like her marriage and has an affair with a mysterious traveling salesman that causes her daughter Elphaba to be born green. When Elphaba gets older she carries her mother's bottle in memory of her.

The Midwife also called Nanny was an Antelope who helps deliver Elphaba, only to be shocked when she comes out green. She defies Frex's orders to take Elphaba away from him and his family.
