Wicked Father is a short suspense audio story about a Pastor, Dante Castro, a.k.a Bronco, who is against street and gang violence. Ironically, outside the church, he is perceived much like a gang leader. While he strays away from selling drugs or harming innocent people, he often resorts to violence against other gangs to "clean up the streets."
Years after Dante Castro first stepped off the righteous path and became the man the streets call Bronco, the consequences of his hidden life finally come to his front doorstep.
One evening, after a long counseling session, Bronco lingers at the altar in quiet prayer; the only thing that gives him peace of mind with the double life he's living. But when an intruder steps into the sanctuary and threatens his son, Bronco is forced to confront a truth he’s avoided for years: the violence he planted has festered and come back to haunt him.
A rising young gang leader has decided it’s time for Bronco to pay for his past.
With his son’s life on the line, Bronco must race against time to save his son. In the end, he faces an impossible choice. Let the sins of his past claim his child, or offer up the only thing he has left to give.

Bronco is a character who embodies both strength and vulnerability. Bronco is also the narrator of "Wicked Father." As a man of faith, he upholds the teachings of God as the father of the church and a father to his adoptive son. He is loved and respected by most in the community. He's willing to make large contributions to his community to keep it safe. However, when the consequences of his past actions come to haunt him, he's driven to be the furthest thing from a saint.
For this role, we are seeking a voice actor with a rich, resonant voice that can convey the depth and complexity of Bronco's character. The ideal candidate will be able to capture Bronco's strength and authority, alongside his moments of vulnerability and introspection. The ability to deliver a performance that is both compelling and emotionally nuanced is essential. There should be a clear difference between the man of faith and the man who is willing to do anything to save what he holds dear.
At the foot of the pulpit, I kneel with my eyes closed and hands pressed in prayer. “Dear heavenly Father...”
A white-hot anger boils in the pit of my stomach as I clench his collar in my fists. “Where. Is. Mateo?”
(sobbing) “Mateo, I’m so sorry.”
Emilio is the antagonist of this story. He carries a lot of hatred towards Bronco and is seeking retribution for the death of his father. Emilio is cold, calculating, and ruthless, willing to go to great lengths to achieve his goal.
The ideal candidate will be able to capture Emilio's chilling calmness and sense of superiority. The ability to deliver lines with a menacing and ruthless tone is important. The voice should reflect Emilio's deep-seated anger and passion for revenge.

Mateo Castro is 22 years old. He still lives with his happily married parents so he doesn't have to worry about room and board while he's in college. Mateo is the only child of a father with two faces: the violent, controlling Bronco and the gentle, community-loved Dante. Because he grew up with both sides mixed together, Mateo has learned to excuse danger, rationalize aggression, and reinterpret red flags as “normal.”
He has the same blind spot with Emilio. Even when Emilio’s behavior becomes threatening, Mateo explains it away as stress, trauma, or misunderstandings. He desperately wants to believe everyone he loves is still good including the brother figure who could hurt him, and the father who already has.
Voice notes: Warm, emotional, introspective. Mid-range. A young man who sounds like he carries more weight than he should at his age.
"Emilio’s like a brother to me. I don’t care what anybody says, he wouldn’t hurt me."
"My dad might get upset, but he'd never hurt anybody."
"You wanna talk about responsibility? How about the nights you sneak out thinking none of us notice? Mom buys it because she loves you. I don’t. I’ve been listening to that door click since I was a kid."
Elena is Bronco's wife and the mother to Mateo. She is perceptive, gentle, resilient, emotionally intelligent. She's a lot, but one thing she's NOT, is stupid. She knows Bronco is hiding something, exactly what, she doesn't know.
Instead of confronting Bronco about it she loves him regardless. She knows judging him is out of her hands. So she sits steadfast in her love. However, she fears that whatever it is Bronco is doing might come back to bite their sound family.

Ox is Bronco's right-hand man. He believes in Bronco's vision of making the city safer since he has a young daughter and wants her to have a better life than he ever had. Ox is connected to Bronco through Lorenzo and sticks by Bronco's side for many, many years. He's become something like a bodyguard for Bronco. Getting his hands dirty when Bronco has been too busy. Keeping an eye on Mateo when Bronco felt suspicious about the friends he's brought around. Truly, Ox has made a space for himself in Bronco's heart like that of a best friend.
Voice Acting Tips:
Ox is a big, burly man. His voice is deep and gruff. He doesn't need his words to be intimidating. Looking at him alone is intimidating, but his voice... It adds to the fear factor. He sounds like someone you'd really need to think twice about betraying.
"Aye, Bronco, I got some news you might not wanna hear."
"If you're scared of me, you'd be terrified of Bronco. Count your losses and face me."
"Something ain't right about that kid. I'd keep my eye on him."
Lorenzo is Bronco's ex-best friend. The two were like brothers. They grew up in the same violent city, and they used to run the streets together. The only difference between the two is that one of them gained a conscious and the other got stuck in the jaws of violence. Given that Bronco went to seminary to formally become a pastor, we can guess who is who.
Lorenzo may be stuck in the cycle of violence, but he's pretty damn good at it. If someone ever needed an ear to the streets, Lorenzo is the man to go to. He knew everything about the streets like the back of his hand. He's a fixer of sorts. His hand is always somewhere dirty. He has no loyalty to any gang, but many men are loyal to him strictly out of fear of what he'd do to them. That's because Lorenzo is the guy you go to when you need a problem fixed with no evidence left behind.
Voice Acting notes:
Lorenzo is nonchalant but charismatic, and his voice has a little gruffness to it. He's been running the streets for survival since he was about 14 years old; he's 30 now, so he's seen a thing or two.
"Look who it is, Father Dante coming to mingle with the commoners."
"Look, B, I'm only doing this because you're still a brother to me."
"If you wanna work with me, you gotta get your hands a little dirty."
The thug is a menacing and intimidating character who exudes danger. The thug is a loyal enforcer, carrying out orders without hesitation and showing no mercy to those who stand in their way.
This role is open to any voice type. The ideal candidate will be able to capture the character's cold, calculating demeanor and deliver lines with a chilling calmness that highlights a ruthless nature. The ability to portray a sense of danger and is essential.

I'm looking for someone to be able to piece together the voices and possibly music for this episodic audio drama so that everything sounds cohesive. Candidates to be most likely chosen are those with a demo reel showcasing skills similar to an audio drama or podcasts.

Looking for someone to compose music for this audio drama, Wicked Father. The genre is Thriller/Suspense with an element of a ticking clock. Not the sound of a literal ticking clock, but there's not a lot of time for our protagonist to save his son. So there are a lot of tense moments and a lot of action within our story.
