Project Overview

White Fur is a 2-D animated show set in the South African Savanna that follows a group of misfits who embark on a journey to save the Amber Basin from destruction it faces from within.

Please note: This is an unpaid volunteer project!

Discord is a requirement!

Please read each line 3 times. If you are putting on an accent, we ask you to record both with your natural accent and with the accent you are putting on.

You must have a clear mic and minimum background noise in your recording

This round of auditions will close on March 31st.

  • Reaching out for callbacks in the next two weeks!

    Hello everyone! First we want to thank you for your interest in offering your voice for White Fur! We really appreciate everyone believing in this project enough to audition.

    We're going to be reaching out to those chosen for callbacks in the next 2 weeks. After we've finished up callbacks and have done our final casting, we'll be reaching out to people we were interested in having on the voice team but who didn't fit the role they auditioned for.

  • Finn Deadline Extended!

    Thank you everyone for your auditions! We're going to begin the process of reviewing everyone's auditions and reaching out for callbacks in the coming weeks!

    That said we're leaving Finn auditions open for another month so if you were interested in auditioning for her now's your chance!

Finn is a scientist who went to an unexplored part of the African savannah with her girlfriend to study the strange phenomenon rumored to occur there. 


Finn is a very serious personality and can be a know-it-all at times. She is intelligent, and she knows it. She's also very stubborn and can be prone to emotional outbursts. 


NOTE: Finn is a black woman and we'd prefer to cast a black person for the role. Everyone is still allowed to audition but priority will be given to black VAs

Dani's a scientist who went to an unexplored part of the African savannah with her girlfriend to study the strange phenomenon rumored to occur there. While she enjoys science, she also went to spend time with her girlfriend.


Dani is very cheerful and energetic and really lights up a room. She tends to not take things super seriously unless it's urgent or an extremely serious matter. She far less self-serious and way more lighthearted than Finn

  • (Lightheartedly dismissive) Whatever you say. But I'm pretty sure none of these animals have even seen a human before. They're probably more scared of us than we are of them.

Strike is the leader of Ivory's coalition and Blur's mate. He is not especially close with his mate and was very distant from Ivory as she grew up but reluctantly kept her as a part of the coalition due to Blur's plead


He’s gruff, strict, and extremely superstitious. He’s prone to fits of anger.

  • (Passive) Get it away from me.

  • (Aggressive) I gave you what you wished Blur. I will not continue to harbor this curse in our coalition any longer!

Speed is one of the youngest members of the coalition and a future mother. 


She's very demure and out of the way choosing to prioritize peace and safety. While she's less confrontational, she's still judgemental and supersitious.

 Fairly grumpy and somewhat lazy, Thorn is the oldest member of the coalition. He was once as strict as Strike but as he’s gotten older and become more reliant on the coalition he has chosen to be a bit quieter and simply get on with his day. He is just as superstitious as Strike however and is very outspoken in that regard.

Mizzi is a Spirit Guardian with the power to speed up time. 


Mizzi is alert, tough, and skittish. He won't back down from a fight but unfortunately due to his hyper-awareness of everything going on around him, he can be very impulsive and jump to react (typically with aggression). In life, he was the same but severely tuned down his impulse to anger and violence by the time of his death. He still believes in the tenets of strength and power and aligns himself with the likes of hippos and elephants though he sees the value and strength in other species too. He makes the most impulsive decisions in the Spirit Guardians and does not plan to change that.

Screech is a Spirit Guardian with the power to enhance the powers of those around her. 


Screech is a bit quirky. She's very much like a cool eccentric grandma. In life, she was always goofy, even in her young age. She even had a bit of a rebellious streak making her wholly able to sympathize with those who feel like misfits as she herself struggled to find friends who accepted her as she was. She is the type of woman to sneak you an extra cookie before dinner and cover for you if you sneak out of the house.
