Voices For JRPG

Project Overview

Discord: NachoBelle#3262

Scarlet Sonority is a light-hearted and humorous traditional JRPG that combines epic fantasy with the wacky, offbeat humour and chaotic vibes of a popular livestream. The protagonist, NachoBelle, and her companion Squeeb, a mischievous slime, are sucked into the fantasy world of Aethia after an unexpected rift opens during one of her streams. This mysterious rift is tied to a spreading darkness that connects back to her own reality and her beloved livestream audience. creating a dual universe scenario where the player traverses between 2 separate worlds. In Aethia, NachoBelle must navigate through a bizarre, often absurd fantasy world filled with quirky characters and unpredictable plot twists. Along the way, she’ll encounter familiar personalities from her stream, each playing a pivotal role in helping (or hindering) her progress. The dark force threatening the world is somehow tied to the energy of her stream, and she must find a way to balance her chaotic stream personality with the seriousness of saving a world that’s descending into madness.

Looking for someone to be the Voice of Talia in battle:

Alignment: Degenerate

Natalia Velázquez, better known to her audience as NachoBelle, was born in a small, rundown neighbourhood on the outskirts of a sprawling city. Growing up in poverty, her family struggled to make ends meet, and she often went to bed hungry, watching her mother work multiple jobs just to keep the lights on. Talia's father was absent for most of her life, a presence only spoken about in the hushed tones of her relatives, leaving her to grow up with a sense of abandonment that lingered for many years. But even in those trying years, Talia found solace in two things: humour and video games. She discovered gaming at a young age, escaping into fantasy worlds where she could forget about the struggles of real life, if only for a few hours. Her talent for gaming grew quickly, but it was her knack for making people laugh—her quick wit, sassy humour, and self-deprecating personality—that made her shine. Though she lacked the resources for expensive equipment or the luxury of a stable internet connection, she would make do with what she had, streaming on old hand-me-down consoles, often relying on the goodwill of friends who gave her access to better tech. Her passion and drive for entertainment were undeniable, even if her surroundings were less than ideal. Talia's childhood wasn’t just marked by hardship. She faced bullying for her appearance, her family's financial situation, and her wild, unconventional sense of humour. Kids called her names, made fun of her, and wrote her off as "that weird girl." But, rather than letting these insults break her, she leaned into them, turning her "flaws" into jokes. She found strength in being herself, even when others didn’t understand her. And that’s when she started to learn the most important lesson of her life: laughter and joy can be a lifeline.

Looking for someone to be the voice of Chom in battle:

Alignment: Chaotic Good

Chomusuke is no ordinary cat. He’s a member of a rare and enigmatic race known as the Temporal Felines, beings that exist outside the constraints of linear time. These creatures are bound to the great weave of the multiverse, tasked with observing and maintaining the delicate balance of timelines. Born in the ethereal spaces between moments—where past, present, and future are fluid—Chom's role has always been to observe. The Temporal Felines are not supposed to intervene in the grand tapestry of existence; they are simply there to witness the ebb and flow of time as it is meant to be, without influence. But Chomusuke is no obedient servant of cosmic order. Unlike his kin, who take their duties with the calm precision of neutral arbiters, Chom thrives in the chaos of the worlds he watches. From the moment he first encountered the timeline of this world, he became intrigued by the imperfections he observed. His curiosity could never be contained by the rules, and while other Temporal Felines were content to simply record events and watch them unfold, Chom began meddling with little alterations—small nudges to see how they would ripple across time. At first, it was just harmless fun—moving an object slightly here, misplacing a few words there, just enough to watch the chaos unfold. It was a thrilling game for Chom. But when Chom witnessed the growing Scarlet Sonority, a creeping and destructive corruption slowly consuming the timeline, something inside him stirred. It wasn’t just an observer’s passing curiosity—it was the gnawing feeling that something needed to change, that the corruption could not be allowed to destroy this world and the countless lives within it.

Looking for someone to be the Voice of Erideth in Battle as both a player character and a Boss:

Alignment: Chaotic Good (Formerly Chaotic Evil)

Erideth was once a bright and ambitious scholar, a young woman named Elira, living in a bustling kingdom by the sea. As a child, she was always fascinated by magic and the pursuit of knowledge. She spent her days pouring over ancient tomes, attempting to unravel the mysteries of the arcane. As she grew older, her hunger for knowledge became insatiable. She sought forbidden books, ones that whispered of power and transcendence—demonic magic, in particular. Her journey for greater power began innocently enough. Elira was driven by curiosity and a desire to help her people, but as her studies grew darker, so too did her intentions. She discovered a ritual that promised immortality and unearthly abilities—an ancient pact that would bind her soul to a demon in exchange for power. Desperate and blinded by her ambition, Elira chose to forsake her humanity. She completed the ritual, binding herself to a powerful demon lord, and her mortal form was consumed by the darkness.

Looking for someone to be the voice of Dain in battle:

Alignment: lawful neutral

Dain’s life changed forever one fateful night when the howls of wolves turned into the unearthly roars of werewolves. Born to a humble farming family on the edge of a sleepy village, Dain was just a boy when the attack came. His family home was reduced to ash, his parents slaughtered before his eyes, and his left eye was clawed out during the chaos. Dain barely escaped with his life, dragging his wounded younger sister, Lyra, into the woods. But Lyra’s wounds were more than mere scratches—they carried the curse of lycanthropy. Despite their bond, the transformation began to take hold of her. In her lucid moments, Lyra begged Dain to leave her, fearing what she might do when she lost control. Reluctantly, Dain parted ways with his sister, the guilt of abandoning her forever etched into his soul. Alone and orphaned, Dain’s survival was a daily struggle. At 16, he was conscripted into the local militia during an era of escalating skirmishes between rival nations. His missing eye earned him ridicule from his peers and dismissal from his commanders, who saw him as a liability. But Dain was determined to prove them wrong. Fighting tooth and nail, Dain quickly became known for his resilience and ingenuity. Though the musket was the weapon of the era, he developed a preference for close-quarters combat, wielding a silver-lined mace, its weight and craftsmanship perfect for smashing through both enemies and the supernatural threats he despised. His shield, painted in fiery hues of red and orange, bore the image of a black wolf—a grim reminder of the creature that had destroyed his family and scarred his soul. His experience surviving against werewolves gave him an edge in ferocity and adaptability. Dain’s wrath became both his greatest strength and his deepest flaw. Though he kept his emotions buried beneath a stoic exterior, his fury drove him to excel in battle. Commanders soon recognized his tactical mind and unwavering resolve, and his comrades came to rely on his fearlessness. During his military career, a harrowing incident left a lasting mark on Dain. His garrison was poisoned by contaminated rations, leaving him bedridden for a week while others succumbed to the illness. From that moment, Dain refused to trust food he hadn’t prepared himself. He honed his cooking skills, turning it into both a necessity and a passion. After years of service, Dain left the army and turned to mercenary work, protecting trade caravans and small settlements. His reputation as a reliable, no-nonsense protector grew, but so did his hatred for werewolves. Every encounter with the creatures reignited his childhood trauma, yet he never hesitated to face them, his silver-lined mace a grim reminder of his past. Eventually, Dain retired from the life of bloodshed and opened a tavern he named The Wolfsbane. Located on a well-traveled trade route, the tavern serves as a haven for weary travelers and a quiet nod to his vendetta against the creatures that destroyed his family. The walls are adorned with relics from his mercenary days—trophies, maps, and a silver bullet he keeps for emergencies.
