(URGENT CASTING) Mc/Narrator for a Noir style mystery/thriller video game

Project Overview

We are looking for the main character of a story-driven noir detective game being localized from Brazil to the USA.

Details under NDA for now! All recording of the full and final script will be live-directed. Please have clean audio, but we require no specific brands or types of equipment.

NOTE: Our studio is led by voice/dub actors ourselves and as such we are vehemently against the use of generative AI. For all productions we provide you with a contract detailing your protections as an artist, including never to have your voice used for AI. Our clients are also required to sign an agreement to this, meaning they do not have permission to use your voice either.

Thank you and have fun !

Paid: Flat Rate 180 USD

This character is simultaneously our protagonist and our narrator ! He's telling the story from his perspective.

His voice has a deep, mysterious quality to it. Not too melodic/smooth because he's in his 40s as well. He knows more than he lets on, he's often playful with his word choice / storytelling; he wants the player to solve the puzzles but also teases them on certain choices.

The client describes his voice this way:

"Tone: Deep, very Slightly raspy, with a subtle whisper at the end of some phrases to convey a mysterious, seductive feel."

It's important that he doesn't sound too caricaturized however, he should still be taken seriously. He has some kind of suspicious past, and it shows in his voice tone.

Language:
  • english
Voice description:
  • videogame
  • video game
  • american
  • male adult
  • "I'm counting on *you* to uncover the secrets behind my death, dear detective."

  • "All you need is a little bit of courage, some wit, cunning - oh and street smarts wouldn't hurt either."
