Project Overview

MY PROJECT DESCRIPTION VANISHED?!?

GRRR well now you’ll get a shorter one!

Story:

Taking in place in Africa, there are two African wild dog packs originally one split into two due to conflicts from long ago. Dwindling Skies and the Painted Valley pack have merely tolerated each other for years, until four young dogs suck out their camp to invade enemy territory just to see what all the fuss was about. When one returns injured, Dwindling Skies is left furious, (even though that injury was just a tiny bite)

Now on the brink of war, tension rises and now the dogs are wondering just what happened all those years ago that caused their packs to split into two?

There will be multiple different stories that will all connect to the main plot, with multiple points of view and different characters.

Oh and I forgot to mention this will be an illustrated story in forms of a comic (with voices!) but potentially there could be animations too

  • Choosing roles a bit earlier

    Hello, I think I’m pretty confident in what voices I want to pick, so I’ll have submissions open for another hour but I think I want to choose roles today. Unless there are any last minute ones, which I’ll still leave an hour open, I think I have the roles pretty much chosen. Thanks for 99 submissions thus far!

    I’ll be posting another casting call shortly within the next few hours if anyone is still interested in voicing in this. Some voices I found fit other characters, so I’ll let you know if I think you fit another character.

    I have the script nearly done for the first episode/chapter thing so that should be ready by the time I choose as well

    Hi all!

    Thanks to those of you who showed interest thus far. Due date is in a bit more than a week, then I’ll pick those who I feel fit a role and then I’m gunna do another casting call for more characters if people are interested! I’ve already began working on the comic itself, but I still have no idea what the heck to even title this cause it can’t just be called “untitled African wild dog comic thingy”

    Also if anyone is curious on what this is actually gunna be in case I didn’t explain things well, it’s mainly going to be a comic, but I’d like to have it voiced as well. So I can post on sites on YouTube, etc. And I may want to animate some things in it too! If you don’t get picked but still wanna voice stuff fret not there are lots of characters needed, some very minor, some major.

    And if you get any of these roles, I ask that you’re willing to be committed cause these characters are important characters and are going to be in it a lot. There will never be any tight deadlines or anything, but, I hope you like voice acting haha!

Shard is an adult male African wild dog known for his temper. He is the leading male of the Dwindling Skies pack. He is stern, stubborn, and respected amongst his own pack. He solves most problems with violence and threats rather than negotiation.

Banja is an adult female African wild dog and the leading female of the Dwindling Skies pack. She is overdramatic, whiny, and constantly complaining. She over-exaggerates often. She’s Shard’s mate, and she constantly nags him whenever he isn’t giving her proper attention. However, as annoying as she can be she is the more favored leader out of the two. She’s kinder than Shard with a stronger sense of empathy. She’s a fair leader and ensures the pack is happy and fed while Shard focuses on making sure their pack is safe and fearless.

Teddi is one of four sons of Banja and Shard, and by far the favorite. He’s loved by the whole pack, and quite popular. He’s optimistic, energetic, and the social butterfly of his family. He’s quite entitled, and a bit of an asshole. He picks on his youngest brother, Tawni, constantly. He’s snarky and sarcastic and believes the world revolves around him. He’s a spoiled brat, essentially, and gets away with absolutely everything and he knows it. Teddi goes by all pronouns, mainly he/she/they. Either a male or female can voice him, though he’s biologically male. Try to make your voice a bit lower if you’re a gal wanting to try, though

Tucker is one of four sons of Banja and Shard. He’s hotheaded, impulsive, stubborn, with a fiery temper. He’s almost like a mini version of his father, but a bit more explosive. He yells constantly, and any little thing could set him off or offend him. He’s very very sensitive. He loves any violence or conflict, anything to use as an excuse to sink his teeth into something. He along with Teddi, bullies his younger brother Tawni frequently

Tawni is one of four sons of Banja and Shard. He is quite timid and soft spoken. He’s easily frightened by anything, and quite gullible. He’s often picked on by his brothers. He often stutters a little bit when speaking, and speaks with a nervous tone of voice. A female can voice him but keep in mind he is male.

Theano is one of four sons of Banja and Shard. He’s the most friendly out of his brothers, and the most relaxed. While he picks on his brother Tawni sometimes, he’s also the one who frequently stands up for him. He’s quite easy going and easy to get along with.

Nutmeg is an older adult female African wild dog and a healer for her pack. She’s quite snappy and a bit of a spitfire. She’s the only dog in the pack who can talk down to Shard, and she’s what keeps him in line. Without her and Banja, the pack would be doomed. She’s very intelligent and empathetic with a strong sense of justice. She’s always wanted to be a mother, but due to her being infertile, she was never able to have pups of her own. She has a soft spot for the young ones, though.
