Welcome to the Until Then The Series (UTTS) discord server! This project will be a fully voice acted, sound edited, cinematic playthrough of the indie game Until Then. It will be fully produced by me and with the help of some friends with me in college. Once finished, Act 1 will be posted to YouTube in an episodic fashion, to be viewed like a TV show. Any and all voice actors will be credited, as well as having their own personal social media handles credited (that will come later).
I'm working on this as a passion project, so that means a few things:

In order to get cast as one of the main recurring characters, you must have recording equipment with good enough quality to capture you voice clearly and with little to no background noise.
You must be 18 or older to participate in this project. You'll be working with a cast that consists of college kids or older, so apologies but please do not audition if you're under 18. I won't bother to listen to it, I'll just remove you.
Come and join the Discord to audition, too! Whichever you're more comfortable with, though I will say that I'm more familiar with Discord than with Casting Call Club, so I'm more likely to get back to you on the Discord!

This project involves working with college kids (cuz that's who we are), so that does mean you must be 18 YEARS OR OLDER TO AUDITION!!! Also, you need to be comfortable with meeting with our director (me) on call so that I can confirm you're able to commit to the project and complete your lines.
ALSO I believe I said this already but just to be clear, background characters aren't limited to good microphone quality, but the main recurring ones are. All of the characters displayed here are only eligible to those with good enough mic quality, but if you want to audition, and you don't have the best mic quality, you can join the Discord and let me know in your audition if you're looking for a background role or not.

Role: Catherine Portillo
Type: Lead
Sex: Female
Description: Catherine Joyce "Cath" Portillo is one of the characters in Until Then. She is often seen alongside Mark Borja as one of the two poster characters for the game.
Catherine is young Filipina girl with brown eyes and sports short brown hair with long side bangs. She also wears a bandage on the bridge of her nose.
Catherine is seen to maintain a bright attitude and friendly demeanor towards her friends and classmates throughout the game. She will take any opportunity to tease and banter amongst her friends, however allows for the same treatment to be shared towards her.
We learn later in the game that she lives in an abusive environment, however she actively tries to avoid pursuing any mentions towards her personal life whenever someone brings up the topic and even going as far as to hide a bruise on her arm later in the game. Catherine is afraid of her parents and is seen to be extremely cautious towards provoking them, despite wanting to spend as much time with her friends as possible, to the dismay of her family’s strict parenting approach.
AUDITION LINES:
(Bubbly, humorous, teasing)
1) “Hoho! Hey Mark! You know, you killed it back there. No, really! That was like the 3rd time your smart-ass form came out.”
2) “Look, a new store! Let’s go in! (beaming) Mark! A fireworks show! We have to see it! Please! Please-please-please! Yesss! Come on, let’s go find a good view!”
3) “Ridel, I swear to God! Once I discover your love interest… I’ll endlessly haunt your existence with never-ending mockery. Mark my words! You too Mark, uh, mark my words!”

1) “Say, have you ever wondered… How butterflies fly under the rain? They’re powerless against this powerful force. They just…hide…wherever they can. They…they get tattered. Or even die.”
2) “You guys worked so hard and I... I wanted to shine, too.”

Description: Valerie Lacsamana is a woman likely in her late thirties or early forties with fair skin. She sports short dark brown hair. She is the mother to Nicole Lacsamana.
Valerie Lacsamana is a very friendly and welcoming individual, embodying the hospitality of the Filipino people, along with her husband.
She loves her family dearly and is very thankful towards Mark Borja when he seemingly caused Nicole to go back to playing the piano. She's also an advocate for her daughter to make a lot of friends, as she seemingly shut herself off from others with the disappearance of Jake Corpuz.

Sex: Female
Description: Maria Borja is a woman with fair skin and brown eyes sporting a messy brown braided ponytail. She is most often seen wearing a plain white T-shirt with a light blue apron on top along with gray tight-fit pants. For footwear, she swears brown slippers.
In the Quantum Butterfly Zone, she wears a white dress with flower patterns. Her braid is also adorned with various colorful flowers. Her slippers are replaced with sandals akin to ancient Greek footwear.
Maria is initially presented as a gentle, nurturing presence, deeply devoted to her family. Her first proper appearance, though ethereal, radiates a maternal, calm and quiet wisdom, guiding Mark through emotional turmoil without judgment.
Even after disappearance, Maria maintains her nurturing and self-sacrificing nature. Her decisions, both in life and death, center around her desire to protect and provide for her son. While calm and kind, she also bears the heavy burden of regret—particularly concerning the strained relationship with Mark caused by her departure.

Description: Ridel Gonzales is a young man with olive skin and black eyes. He has fairly long hair and ties it up into a messy man bun. He also wears red glasses and is often seen with a Camera on his person.
Ridel initially came off as a womanizer because of what Catherine Portillo and Mark Borja had to say about the women he had been meeting at some places. However, Ridel has clarified that he was paid by them to take non-vulgar pictures of them.
Ridel has a strong love for photography, as well as niche things. He is touted as the "resident hipster" of the MCR (Mark, Catherine, and Ridel) Trio because of this. He was absent for most of Act 1 and thus didn't know about what's been going on in Mark and Cath's life until he hears the news about Cath's unfortunate passing. When he does have a more prominent stay in Act 2 and later timelines, he is shown to be a caring friend. He prioritizes the wellbeing of his friends more than anything, even berating Mark for considering the option of giving up the search for a missing Cath. Though, he is often oblivious to what his friends may be experiencing until it is too late.

Description: Ryan Soriano is an active basketball player aiming for varsity recommendation to continue his love and career into basketball. Ryan Soriano is a young boy with olive skin and brown hair. He often wears his red bracelet on his left hand.
Ryan Soriano is introduced as a friendly and outgoing person who initially had a crush on Louise Ordunia but withdraws his feelings once he comes to realize that Louise already has a boyfriend.
Ryan Soriano shows a strong fascination towards basketball and playing in the court more than anything else. His life revolves around his love for basketball. Though, despite his dead-set focus on the sport, he maintains a friendly attitude. He also cares very much about his much younger siblings.

Description: Jake is a young boy with olive skin, black eyes, and black hair.
A jolly kid that supported Nicole Lacsamana every step of the way while he was still around.
While typically in a happy mood, he begins wearing a mask upon coming to learn of his parent's failing message. He's convincing enough for Nicole to not suspect a thing. Secretly, though, he’s suffering from his father’s abuse, and we come to find out that he was considered lost on the flight stricken by the Ruling alongside his mom.

Description: Paolo Borja is a man likely in his late thirties to early forties. He has black hair and sports a goatee and mustache. He's always seen wearing his necklace, which is simply a round metallic object with the letter "M" inscribed onto it and attached to a cord. He is Mark’s father.
Paolo initially comes off as a stern parent, reminding Mark to spend his money responsibly. Paolo is a pretty humorous person, comparable to Mr. Lacsamana when it comes to cracking silly jokes. Much like him, Paolo loves his own family dearly.
He tries to solve problems in a calm and understanding manner, even when some things offend him such as the landlord charging their family with seemingly unfair interest or when Mark berates his mother. He's never resorted to violence at any point in the story, even if he does seem the maddest at the latter event. He's not foolish or blind to, but aware of injustices. There is simply no reason to call people out for it or argue how unfair something is as it would put their family in a detrimental situation.
For most of the story, he carries the struggle of coming to terms with the loss of Maria, the love of his life. Though, he does eventually find the strength to move on, all for Mark's sake.

Description: Mr. Lacsamana is a man likely in his late thirties or early forties with a big frame and olive skin. He sports black hair and a long stubble. He is Nicole’s father.
When he is first introduced, he is seen as a very lively and friendly individual, embodying the spirit of hospitality seen among the Filipino people, much like his wife, Valerie Lacsamana.
Mr. Lacsamana is a very humorous, optimistic, and high-spirited individual. Whenever he's on-screen, he's bound to release a few jokes that would make people laugh. Though, he can understand the nature of a situation and hold himself from making jokes if it's insensitive. The term "gentle giant" best describes him as despite his intimidating appearance, he has a very warm and welcoming attitude.

Description: Andrew Portillo is Cath's brother who, towards the end of the story, becomes more friendly with Cath.
Andrew Portillo is a young man with short dark brown hair and red rectangular glasses.
When initially met in Act 1, Scene Fireworks, Andrew appears stern and strict as he drags Cath back home.
During Act 1, he projects the blame of Cathy's death onto Mark, however, deep down, it is implied that he blames himself for his sister's passing. This causes a slight change of heart in Act 2, where he seems more solemn and deep in thought rather than confrontational with Mark. During Act 3, we see the culmination of his character, where he deeply cares about his sister and makes an effort to bond with her, unlike in the previous timelines.
