What is this?
Welcome to the Casting Call page for the Under Night In-Birth OVA project! In this project, we'll be creating a series of comedic shorts relating to the Under Night In-Birth franchise and having YOU voice them! Of course this is all exactly fan content, and nothing backed by official sources. Something for the fans, by the fans.
Who can I audition for?
Of course all characters listed below are available for auditioning. Of course you can audition for as many roles as you'd like to! Please remember that even if a role states that a character is female or male, you may audition for that role regardless of your own sex. This is especially applicable for younger characters who have higher sounding voices and may benefit from a female voice actor.

Though these are official characters and they already have voices (Some have JP and EN voices) We'd like you to try and also go with your own interpretation of the characters! And of course, remember to have fun while doing it. :)

Linne is a stoic, aloof, and independent girl who tends to try resolving matters on her own regardless of how dangerous the situation is.
Underneath, she possesses immense guilt over how, because of her ability, she has destroyed the lives of countless innocent girls, believing that only her absolute death can cease this endless cycle. Even though Hyde possesses the means to give her a true death, she feels even more guilt on how she must ask him to bear the burden of killing her on his conscience.
Linne's stoic shell can also sometimes be broken under certain means. Perverse gestures can quickly anger her and she is easily swayed by food, especially candy and other sweet confectioneries, which is the result of the more childlike tendencies of her body taking effect.

Can't bring yourself to hurt someone you know, huh? You're still way too soft.
Having been in countless battles, Waldstein enjoys fighting skilled opponents and is always prepared to accept a challenge. However, he appears to be rather absent-minded as he openly stated to Gordeau that he was serving as a distraction while Linne and Hyde were heading to take down Paradox and wasn't aware of the implications of doing so until Gordeau explained it to him.
Despite Waldstein's hunger for battle, he has a softer and compassionate side to him, especially towards Linne. He is extremely loyal to her, following her orders without question and worrying about her well-being. He also spares Hilda's life to "return the favor" for sparing Linne's.
In his monstrous body, Waldstein consumes roughly thrice the normal amount of food needed for one man, possibly even ten times the normal amount if if so happens to be his favorite food.

Orie is a kind-hearted young woman with a strong sense of justice. Having been rescued and trained to be able to fight Voids, Orie is extremely loyal to Licht Kreis and fights to uphold the peace and order that it brings to the world.
However, although Orie does not doubt the intentions of the organization, she can't help but feel that Licht Kreis may not be as noble as she believed due to the extremely questionable actions of some of her fellow members - particularly Erika Wagner.

A man defined by his cheerful, carefree attitude just as much as he is by his strength, Gordeau will happily approach anyone with a smile and the crack of a joke, be it friend or foe. He holds his friends and comrades close to his heart, and will put himself in harm's way to stop them from hurting themselves; his relationship with Hilda being a good example of this.
Outside of his life as an In-Birth, Gordeau puts an immense amount of pride and responsibility into the bar he owns, and considers it a sign of gratitude to the former manager. Because of this, he tends to be a bit more begrudging of his friends hanging out at his bar due to them getting in the way of business matters, despite them being the only frequent customers.
However, this cheery, friendly personality hides a darker side. In actuality, Gordeau is an embittered, borderline-suicidally depressed man, wracked with guilt over his role in the events that lead up to Roger's death, and having developed an inferiority complex over not being the one to put him out of his misery. His only source of venting his frustration is hunting down Roger's killer, Wagner, knowing full well that doing so may very well be his end. Because of Wagner's killing of Roger, Gordeau has developed something of a grudge against the Licht Kreis as a whole, though he mostly shows this through grilling other Executors for Wagner's whereabouts. In the end, he knows that it's nothing personal, saying to "hate the monk, not the robes".

Seth is an extremely serious individual and never shows any emotion beyond stoicism. Although his cold attitude may come off as insensitive, he is greatly burdened by the mistakes of his ancestor and feels that if he fulfills Linne's wish for death, he can redeem his family name and free himself of the past. In Yuzuriha's story, her optimistic way of life despite her family's history briefly causes Seth to question his path and his individuality.
Seth does attend school and has above average grades. He's bad at communicating and tries to avoid contact with his classmates in order to keep them from "getting involved". His presence is rarely noted in the classroom and Seth is pretty much free to come and go as he pleases. He lives alone and is skilled with all the housework as he has been helping his family since he was young.

Yuzuriha is a very cheerful and carefree, acting like anything that goes on around her doesn't seem to bother her. She affectionately refers to her sword as "Ayame" and her smartphone as "Felia" (both with the "chan" honorific). She is also someone who doesn't hold very serious grudges, having already forgiven Hyde for his actions in the past, as well as telling Hilda to rethink her decision on becoming a Re-Birth in a manner akin to a mother scolding her child.
Despite her seemingly happy-go-lucky attitude, Yuzuriha possesses a serious and realistic side to her. Since obtaining her sword, she has taken it upon herself to be the guardian of the city and killing any Void she encounters and admits that her abilities are far from being perfected. When encountering Hilda, she states that carrying an unconscious Hyde and Linne would be more troublesome than fighting Hilda herself, showing a bold and cocky side to her personality as well.

Nanase has a tendency to jump to conclusions and doesn't consider alternate possibilities, such as the Void that bit her being the reason she's an In-Birth instead of Hyde (who in reality had saved her life) and, due to her lack of information, thinks that Hyde is also responsible for others' abilities.
When distressed, she tends to have a poor choice of words when expressing it.

Most of the time, Phonon seems to be very wise-cracking and is quick to look down on other people through a harsh and demeaning front. However, she is deeply obsessed with supernatural phenomena and willingly risked her life to become an In-Birth (which are common traits of middle-school syndrome). During the Hollow Night, she puts on the role of a dominatrix, which can sometimes lead to some awkward situations.
Phonon is also a very bad liar, as Tsurugi was able to completely see through her act even if he didn't do any research beforehand. She also tends to be very easily sensitive towards her real name or anything to do with her mundane life, as well as having a one-sided vitriolic dynamic towards Nanase even if the very latter is genuinely acting nice towards Phonon; despite this Nanase easily angers her whenever she speaks out her real name ("Yoshiko").

The ultimate! Abilities! Of the In-birth!
Mika is a very spunky and cheerful young girl who greatly looks up to her friends and superiors. She is also very hyperactive and will frequently pepper her speech with sudden and, more often than not, completely unrelated remarks and comments, her most common trait being her ending her sentences in "Yuu". Mika has also proven herself to be extremely gullible, most likely brought about by her low intelligence.
Despite all of this, Mika is very immature and will react to certain situations in a very childish manner. Should she not get her own way, she will throw a tantrum worthy of a toddler and most likely damage something in the process.

Most of the time, Enkidu tends to keep to himself and won't speak unless he feels like it is necessary. He is a stoic, calm individual who is completely and utterly diligent when it comes to fighting, if at times stubborn. Despite that, Enkidu can be very humble and gets along well with his fellow comrades, especially Roger, Gordeau and Chaos, the latter being a good friend of his. Enkidu can also be somewhat witty and likes to poke fun at both Hilda and apparently Gordeau from time to time. Despite all this, Enkidu still feels some strong emotions, internally expressing his grief over Roger's passing, as well as his frustration in regards to Hilda's comments about his lifestyle.
Enkidu has also stated to be uncomfortable with social gatherings, believing that he stands out too much, and comparing it to "Inviting a clown to a funeral".
When fighting, Enkidu becomes a lot louder and excitable; treating the art of combat incredibly seriously. He has nothing but the utmost respect to those who show resolve in combat and will react gracefully even when losing. He keeps his eyes closed as a sign of his confidence in battle and rarely opens them, when he does, it's usually as a sign of him going all out, or as a sign of respect towards a worthy opponent.

The next time we meet, I will not back down from your challenge.
Parts of Kuon's personality are only revealed by various characters in their arcade scenarios. It is mentioned how, in the past, he was a man of virtue and honor, having inspired Waldstein with his chivalry and being well-respected by many.
However, due to unknown circumstances, Kuon's personality appears to have taken a mysterious and possibly sinister turn, seemingly having severed ties to his former allies and manipulating Hilda into becoming his willing pawn and seemingly discarding her when she was of no further use. In the present day, Kuon comes off as cold and uncaring, mainly keeping to himself around others and preferring to keep his emotions out of conversation, giving him an eerie, sinister presence.
While Kuon is a natural combatant, he prefers to stay away from combat whenever possible and will not fight anyone unless he has a reason to, and even then, he will only resort to fighting as a last resort.
His voice should sound like a young teen, with an air of mystery behind it. While almost cynical, he could come off as someone who likes to play jokes on others. That should most be portrayed in the second line.
The person here earlier was quite formidable, being able to sense my presence, but I can see you're no different...
Hm... "Here" and "where" are not the right terms to use.
You could sense I was looking, but you wouldn't know "where" I was, as I wasn't "here."
That desire within you is no different from one turning into a Void...
Chitose is a previous incarnation of Linne that died 10 years before the present day of the story.
Her nature is that of someone who's looking out for others. With a carefree personality, she's a sweet young lady. But beneath all of that, the curse of having to reincarnate every time she dies still burdens her, as she carries this sadness beside her all the time. Though she tries to hide it, it becomes painfully clear when she's upset.
Her voice should carry this "big sister" energy with her, but carries a sudden sadness with her. That melancholy feel should carry on through in the second line.

Silvaria is a kind and motherly person with an almost never faltering smile who cares deeply for the younger members of Licht Kreis while also looking out for the older ones too, but she can be incredibly strict at times, to the point where Adelheid has apparently chastised her for being too strict. She can also be rather frightening at times due to her near permanent smile and has shown no qualms with getting into physical fights with the younger members. Despite her rather strict personality, she has been shown to be very worrisome of the members she looks after, especially Mika after she leaves for Japan.

Lex is usually cool-headed and very thorough with her informative explanations. Her attitude when around Orie and other friends or workmates is slightly crude and she has a very dry sense of humor, she also has a habit of being somewhat rude towards whoever she is speaking to and often tends put her own work in front of other matters. Her speaking tone is pretty boyish. Her small chest is a very sensitive matter, and she will quickly become angry when the subject is brought up.
Lex tries her hardest to evade things she perceives as bothersome as much as possible and has shown herself to be somewhat lazy. Examples include getting involved with Lady Wagner and having to carry Londrekia's luggage around town. She also skipped the Executor Ranking Exam due to believing it to be a bother. Due to this, she lacks a proper rank and is referred as an "Out-Ranker" (官位外アウトランカー).
Lex's voice should sound a bit boyish, but due to her nature should come off as deadpan or lazy.

No, it's a little further away.
It'll take a while to get there, so I'll tell you the mission details after we arrive. (Informative)
Yeah... At first glance, it looked really similar, but places like these make you realize it's definitely an Asian country. (In slight awe)
She's described as a typical rich, elite lady who is very particular about things like honor. She has a habit of teasing Mika by telling her obvious lies and teaching her mistaken stuff. She is also told to be exceptionally good cook.
Kaguya is part of a Orie's Execution Team. Kaguya is responsible for firepower.
Though not from any English country, she's from Japan, her way of speaking should be prim and proper. To especially show off that side of the "typical rich, elite lady." She should still keep this playful air around her, especially to those who she can get her hands on to mess with.

I remember a time when you remarked on challenging a ninja or a samurai to a sword battle.

Sakurai and Murayama are of same age. She is very cheerful, lively and very skillful in communications. She manages to get along with pretty much anyone.

We merely were given the weapons for management. Whether you accept that or

A far cry from the other members of Amnesia, even including Hilda. Uzuki is described as being cruel and self-absorbed, having absolutely no respect for anyone else but herself and will go to any lengths to achieve her goals. Her train of thought is very simplistic and she mainly acts according to the first gut feeling she has. She despises taking orders from anyone, much preferring to do whatever she wants instead.
Compared to anyone else in Amnesia, Uzuki holds the most disdain towards Hilda, whom she refers to as an "Ignorant wench" (馬鹿女), and will go out of her way to berate her as much as possible.
Her voice should be high pitched, with a side of gremlin to it. A very arrogant way of speaking, especially to those she distastes.

Ignorant wench, you dare give orders to the mighty Uzuki? But, today is a special day, so I could let you have the spotlight just this once.
Something seems really strange about her today, but what else should I expect?
After all, anyone wanting to become a Re-Birth must have a few screws loose....

Roger is a very carefree young man who likes travelling. Roger was an acquaintance with the owner of the bar where Gordeau works. After the bar master left for training and Gordeau was put in charge, the two of them got to know each other better. Roger is often out of town and comes back to tell Gordeau about his travels now and then.

I guess to be specific, what should I be doing? (Relaxed, slightly battle ready)
Damn it, Hurry up and get it over with! (Hurried, worried.)
Zohar normally comes off as a slightly moody, high voiced young woman who is almost always seen by Ogre's side and can be very excitable when it comes to food. She does have moments of sincerity however, and won't hesitate to help out anyone regardless of friend or foe, if only to help herself. She also had a long lasting friendship with fellow In-Birth, Strix. However, she has a hidden dark side.
Secretly, Zohar harbors an immense and vicious hatred for her friend, spawned out of nothing but petty envy for Strix. However, she normally keeps this hidden away until she gets hit by a large EXS fluctuation.
After this happens, Zohar goes completely off the deep end and her emotions wildly swing from heartbroken to pure rage to mad cackling all within a few minutes. Her voice also becomes a lot deeper in pitch.
Zohar also shows signs of being self conscious about her weight, as it is labelled as "Secret".

Her way of speaking can be sporadic at times. You can get that from feeling from the excerpt above and the connotations in the lines.
Don't worry. Even if he loses, it's not like she's going to kill him.
This is no different from any sport out there.

You! You changed the Bankikai! It's all because you had to awaken to your power! Everyone wanted that power! I lost my place! I have nothing now! NOTHING!
(Emotionally breaking down, yelling)

(Maniacal, with a slight hint of anger in her ears)
Tsurugi has a honest and very talkative personality with a lively air of charisma, if a bit hot-blooded. He is very caring about his teammates and friends and won't hesitate to take action for what he believes is right, leading him to be somewhat reckless at times, with Phonon describing him as a "typical member of a sports-team". Tsurugi's habit of rushing in head-first is precisely why the student council president has assigned Komatsu to keep an eye on Tsurugi. The two have a habit of butting heads over his actions.
Despite being overtly reckless and hot-blooded, Tsurugi actually happens to be fairly smart; being able to correctly deduct that Phonon was the one who wandered into the Hollow Night after doing some investigation.

Komatsu has a very composed air about her. She acts very serious and is strict when it comes to the regulations of EFG. She is very handy with paper work and holds the position of a secretary in the Student Council.
Komatsu isn't pleased when Tsurugi starts to act on his own and brings a deal of temporary alliance to Phonon. He even hands over one of their precious Void Fragments without the permission from the Student Council President.

Tsurugi... You shouldn't make promises like that without the president's approval.

The "Older sister" type. She loves to tease her younger sister Yuzuriha and just overall loves to play around.
She was once an In-Birth, but due to an "Major incident" Hiroha has since recovered from her injuries, but her fighting spirit took a severe blow. She completely given up on the idea of returning to the battlefield. Even so, Hiroha still continues to live her life regularly.
Her voice is very mature, she often sounds like in similar regards to Hilda, except less on the superiority and just more so her playful tone. Hiroha always means well and is a very kind person at heart, this should be reflected in her voice.

Looks like you're hard at working, I'm proud of you~... But, what's this?
What do you intend on cleaning, bringing that all the way out here?
(Teasing, lighthearted)

He is rather timid for a boy which causes misunderstandings about his gender. Neither Carmine or Gordeau could say for sure whether Azel was boy or girl, nor had they the guts to just straight-up ask Azel about his gender.
He isn't physically active and likes to evade all kind of trouble. Azel loves medieval stories about knights, and is aspiring to write such stories one day.
Why does it come to that?!
