TRANSFORMERS: PROJECT GOLIATH (1 HOUR FILM)

Project Overview

I am currently working on a Transformers Action/Thriller/Horror Film! It is projected to be an hour long with lots of action and story! Here's the premise of the film!

The story takes place on the home planet of the Transformers, Cybertron. There is a civil war raging on the planet between the heroic Autobots and the evil Decepticons. Rez, the main character, is a normal guy who happens to live in Decepticon territory. He's not entirely fond of the war so he choose to live peacefully as a librarian. One day however, he is enlisted into the Decepticon army against his will and is forced to work at a Decepticon base. Unfortunately, for Rez, the Autobots send in a mysterious super soldier with incredible abilities and enhanced strength on his first day. Rez must learn how to survive and overcome his fear of killing another person. The Autobots are the bad guys in the story while Rez (A Decepticon) is the one we're rooting for.

  • Casting For Rez

    Casting Call for the role of Rez has ended! I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who sent in an audition! I really appreciate the enthusiasm for the role and hearing each of your interpretations truly brought a smile to my face. However, only one person will be able to voice the character. Rez is the main protagonist of the film project. He’s young, technical, small, scrawny, and just an average looking Decepticon. When you think of a Decepticon, you expect something sinister and evil but Rez is supposed to be a subversion of that expectation. If you’d look at him, you’d never expect him to be a soldier or evil. He’s just a normal guy who was forced into the Decepticon army. He has blue eyes, a sign of innocence and inexperience. 


WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR

-Voice should be within the range of young adult. Age is around 23-29 years old.

-Well spoken, understandable, and recognizable voice for a protagonist.

-Charismatic

-Must be able to convey fear, frustration, and panic.

-AMAZING mic quality that can handle yelling takes as well as whispers. I'm going for almost movie quality

-Experienced voice actors who know how to act

 

WHAT I'M NOT LOOKING FOR

-Whiny or annoying

-Overly expressive like a cartoon skit. This is a thriller/horror film. Should be relatively realistic in tone

-Flat performances

-Shouldn't sound like he's in high school/middle school. Not looking for a kid voice.

-Shouldn't sound like an elder either

-Accents

-Inexperienced voice actors

-Background echos, noise, hissing, muffled audio,and peaking will be rejected quickly

-No Robot filters please

  • REFLECTING/UNSURE

    **Rez is talking to his best friend. He’s reflecting on how he believes he shouldn’t be a part of the war. He’s sad that he lost his life at home to join the army. Should have a somber undertone because he's homesick and is conflicted with killing.**

    Rez: I shouldn’t be here….I’m not a soldier. I’m...I’m an archivist. I was made to preserve history. All this killing, death...It’s not in my programming.

  • FEAR

    **Rez just went through a traumatic experience and is extremely frightened/paranoid. His friend is trying to get him to snap out of it but Rez is overcome by fear and can't think straight. Must convey panic**

     

    Friend: What are you doing running around?! It’s not safe. 

    Rez: I-I had to. That-That thing almost got me! 

    Friend: You sure he didn’t follow you?

    Rez: I-I don’t know. I ran as fast as I could. What’s going on?! Where is everyone? Is everyone dead?!

    Friend: Calm down. Just take it eas-

     

    **Rez gets frustrated at his friend for not understanding his emotions**

     

    Rez: Don’t tell me to take it easy! I almost died!!

    Friend: I’ll explain everything. Relax..

     

    **Rez starts uttering to himself and is starting to go crazy. Should start a bit calmer in energy but starts building up in energy as he gets more and more anxiety**

     

    Rez: ….No no no... there’s no time! The Autobot, he’s-he’s coming for us! He could be here any second and we can’t call for help and-

    Friend: Rez!!!

  • SOCIAL

    **Rez is hanging out with his friend and sees something familiar and is excited!**

     

    Rez: Woah look at that! An ion transmitter! Haven't seen one of these in a while! I gotta say it’s nice to see something familiar for a change.

    Friend: Glad you like it! Hahaha..hehe….It’s broken.

     

    **Rez says "nice" not thinking too much about what his friend said but after a pause, he realizes that it's broken. Should be comedic**

     

    Rez: Nice....Wait what?
