Toil With Trouble (Original Comic Dub)
Project Overview
Toil with Trouble is a webcomic set to be re-released on Halloween of 2023. It is made with a mixture of 3D and 2D.
[Summary of Story]
It is set in an alternative universe England (2015) where magic is both known and normal. It's focused on the story of Kimmy Harper, a witch moving to her advanced studies. As part of those studies, she has had to summon a Familiar. She summons Raphael, a warth demon who is much, much more powerful than he first appears.
The comic is LGBTQIA+ positive, with many of the characters with varying sexuality. Sex is mentioned but not shown.

[Workload/Timescale]
Due to the current online climate for original comics/webtoons, I have decided it would be best to make a comic-dub version alongside the comic itself. The hope is to make TikTok/shorts and then compile those into longer videos for YouTube. As such, it would be work done in batches, most likely doing multiple episode recordings. The frequency of this will completely depend on my speed of creating the comic. Everything will be organized through Discord
Obviously, the main cast will be needed much more than side characters. Some characters might not be needed for months at a time (again, depends on my speed of work). As such, it could be a role that lasts years or is needed only for a short amount of time. It would be an ongoing, rolling project.
However, if after two years there is no interest in the comic/no audience then the project will most likely come to a close. It all depends on reception.
[Compansation]
While starting out I cannot pay anything- since I myself do not have a solid income- the hope is that the comic will earn donations/patrons or money through YouTube's ad revenue scheme. If it does ever make money, Voice Actors and others who are helping me will be paid at a rate depending on what the money coming in is. I've listed it as this project as 'Unpaid' for now, since I have no idea what kind of impact the dubbed version will make.
