The Troops: Episode 1 (Fully Animated Halo Series)
Project Overview
The Troops is a Halo/RvB-inspired comedy series following Squad Four, a group of soldiers stuck on a remote UNSC base after the Human-Covenant War. While most of the team is bored, dysfunctional, and desperate for something to happen, strange activity beneath the base begins to reveal a much larger mystery involving Daniel’s past, Commander Vale, and secrets the UNSC may be trying to keep buried.
The series mixes character-driven comedy, military sci-fi, and an ongoing mystery, with a tone that starts light and comedic but gradually builds into something more serious.
Similar style video will be linked and other stuff I've done will be on my channel!
Commander Vale is a high-ranking UNSC officer with a calm, controlled presence and a reputation for being disciplined, intelligent, and difficult to read. On the surface, Vale appears like the kind of commander soldiers are expected to trust: composed under pressure, strategic, and fully committed to the mission. However, beneath that professional exterior is someone hiding dangerous secrets.
Vale is not openly cruel or cartoonishly evil. Instead, he is calculated, careful, and persuasive. He believes every decision he makes is justified by the “greater good,” even when those decisions involve betrayal, cover-ups, and sacrificing his own soldiers. He rarely raises his voice because he does not need to. His authority comes from confidence, manipulation, and the quiet knowledge that he is always several steps ahead.
In the story, Vale plays a major role in Daniel’s past and the mystery surrounding his memory loss. He keeps Daniel close under the excuse of supervision and military protocol, but his real concern is whether Daniel will remember what truly happened during a classified mission involving his former team.
Voice/Performance Direction: Calm, commanding, and intimidating without being loud. Should sound like someone who can give an order, hide a lie, and make both feel equally believable. The performance should carry intelligence, control, and subtle menace.

So start off, I do want to let you all know, we’re denying your request to be transferred.
No. I understand his rage. Daniel, you’ve still not been fully cleared for active deployments after your incident on your last deployment with your previous squad.
No.. I want to see how much he remembers…
Kira is the squad leader of Squad Four and the most responsible member of the team. She is disciplined, organized, and tries to keep everyone focused, even when her squad is constantly arguing, joking, or pushing boundaries. Compared to the others, Kira takes military structure seriously. She respects the chain of command, follows orders, and does not like openly questioning superiors, even when something feels wrong.
Kira cares about her team, but she often shows it through control rather than softness. She reminds them to stay on mission, checks in on Daniel when he starts acting strange, and tries to keep Austin and Frankie from turning every serious moment into a joke. She can be firm, sharp, and commanding when she needs to be, but there is a clear sense that she is under pressure and trying to hold everything together.
Her biggest flaw is that she puts too much trust in the system. Daniel sees something suspicious in Commander Vale and the base, but Kira keeps defending command because she believes following protocol is the safest choice. This creates tension between her and Daniel, especially because Daniel feels trapped, watched, and lied to. Kira is not blind or uncaring; she just does not want to believe the people above them could be hiding something dangerous.
Voice/Performance Direction: Kira should sound confident, focused, and authoritative, but not emotionless. She needs to be able to snap at the team, give orders clearly, and sound like someone used to being responsible. At the same time, her performance should show concern underneath the professionalism, especially when Daniel is clearly not okay. Strong comedic timing is also important, since she often plays the “responsible leader stuck with idiots” role.

“I put the request to Vale, but like I told you before, most likely they'll deny it... Again. They told us we’re needed here and you need to accept that.
Daniel! We’ve talked about this! Stand down now! Commander Vale, I am so sorry for him.
Um.. No… We’re getting a new heater since this one is failing.
Frankie is Squad Four’s mechanic and one of the main sources of comic relief. He is friendly, relaxed, and oddly confident in his own abilities, even when everything around him proves he probably should not be. Whether he is trying to fix a broken heater, diagnosing a power issue, or making a ridiculous comment at the worst possible time, Frankie brings a lighter energy to the team.
He is not useless, though. Frankie may act clueless, but he does understand machinery and technical systems. In the sublevel power room, he is the one who figures out what needs to be checked and helps restore power. His problem is not that he cannot do his job; it is that he comes across as chaotic, distracted, and way too comfortable in dangerous situations.
Frankie is the kind of soldier who somehow made it through the Covenant War, and nobody knows how. He is optimistic, weirdly lucky, and hard to hate, even when he annoys everyone around him. He does not seem eager to get deployed again and is perfectly fine with a quiet base assignment, which makes him a strong contrast to Daniel, who is desperate to see action.
Voice/Performance Direction: Frankie should sound upbeat, goofy, and casual, with strong comedic timing. He should feel like a lovable idiot, but not completely brainless. His performance should be energetic and expressive, with the ability to make simple lines sound funny through delivery.

I personally don’t mind not getting deployed… After the great war, it’s nice getting to relax.
Hmm… Looks like there might be a short in the auxiliary breaker from the look of these wires… Daniel and Austin, could you follow these wires and see if it needs to be reset?
Looks like the new heater was dropped off.
I’m looking for someone who would be interested in helping create music for my series, The Troops. This is a Halo/RvB-inspired comedy series with a mix of goofy character moments, military sci-fi atmosphere, and a larger mystery building in the background.
The role would involve working closely with me to help shape the sound of the series. Ideally, I would love to have original music made specifically for the show, whether that be a main theme, background tracks, scene transitions, emotional moments, or tension-building music when the story gets more serious.
Original music would be a great addition, but it is not the top priority if it is not possible right away. The main thing I’m looking for is someone who enjoys the project, is willing to collaborate, and wants to help give the series its own identity through music.
This would be a collaborative role where we would work hand-in-hand on what each scene needs, what kind of tone fits, and how the music can support the comedy, mystery, and character moments without overpowering them.
Looking for someone who can:
Create or help develop original music, work with sci-fi/comedy tones, take creative direction, communicate ideas, and collaborate closely throughout the project.
