The Troops: Episode 1 (Fully Animated Halo Series)
DOOMED RADIANCE for Kira (Squad Leader)
Kira (Squad Leader)
Kira is the squad leader of Squad Four and the most responsible member of the team. She is disciplined, organized, and tries to keep everyone focused, even when her squad is constantly arguing, joking, or pushing boundaries. Compared to the others, Kira takes military structure seriously. She respects the chain of command, follows orders, and does not like openly questioning superiors, even when something feels wrong.
Kira cares about her team, but she often shows it through control rather than softness. She reminds them to stay on mission, checks in on Daniel when he starts acting strange, and tries to keep Austin and Frankie from turning every serious moment into a joke. She can be firm, sharp, and commanding when she needs to be, but there is a clear sense that she is under pressure and trying to hold everything together.
Her biggest flaw is that she puts too much trust in the system. Daniel sees something suspicious in Commander Vale and the base, but Kira keeps defending command because she believes following protocol is the safest choice. This creates tension between her and Daniel, especially because Daniel feels trapped, watched, and lied to. Kira is not blind or uncaring; she just does not want to believe the people above them could be hiding something dangerous.
Voice/Performance Direction: Kira should sound confident, focused, and authoritative, but not emotionless. She needs to be able to snap at the team, give orders clearly, and sound like someone used to being responsible. At the same time, her performance should show concern underneath the professionalism, especially when Daniel is clearly not okay. Strong comedic timing is also important, since she often plays the “responsible leader stuck with idiots” role.

“I put the request to Vale, but like I told you before, most likely they'll deny it... Again. They told us we’re needed here and you need to accept that.
Daniel! We’ve talked about this! Stand down now! Commander Vale, I am so sorry for him.
Um.. No… We’re getting a new heater since this one is failing.
