Project Overview

Misti Simons has an obsession with breaking hearts, but Cyrus Waters has an obsession with mending them.
After Misti Simon’s parents got divorced, her belief in love simply packed up and left right with her dad, and her dad’s new family. So, the words long-term relationship, makes Misti cringe.
She likes to keep things short, and not-so-sweet, considering she likes to break things off after two weeks of dating. She loves breaking people’s hearts. She loves giving them a wake-up call to what relationships really are. A waste of time. No need to thank her.
But everything changes when the irritating, intrusive, impulsive, naive Cyrus Waters moves to the small town of Glennwood and meets Misti.

RULES/REQUIREMENTS:
1. MUST BE 13-18 YEARS OF AGE.
2. MUST HAVE GOOD QUALITY MIC AND LITTLE TO NO BACKGROUND NOISE.
3. MUST BE WILLING TO MAKE A COMMITMENT FOR 4-10 SEASONS, EACH SEASON INCLUDING 12, 30-40 MINUTE EPISODES.
4. MUST BE OKAY WITH USING DISCORD AND ZOOM AND HAVE AN ACCOUNT FOR EACH. ALSO MUST BE OKAY WITH SHOWING YOUR FACE TO VERIFY YOU ARE WHO YOU SAY YOU ARE.
5. NO CUSSING.
6. KEEP THE CONVERSATIONS CLEAN, NO VIOLENT, RACIST, OR INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR OR JOKES.
7. BE KIND, BE PATIENT.
8. WHEN AUDITIONING PLEASE SAY YOUR NAME, TIME ZONE, AND AGE.
9. HAVE FUN!
FAILURE TO MEET THE RULES AND REQUIREMENTS WILL RESULT IN BEING KICKED OFF THE SERIES AND REPLACED, OR YOUR AUDITION WILL NOT EVEN BE CONSIDERED.

Misti believes that love is like a unicorn. It’s not rare, it just simply doesn’t exist. It’s only there for children to think about in awe. For children to fantasize about. The fact that love doesn’t exist is a thing for most people to swallow. Love doesn’t exist, but narcissism and selfishness do. People think they deserve to be loved and want to be loved when in reality, they know deep down, that love is life’s biggest scam. A lie. This is the truth Misti discovered when she was young and accepts easily.
Because if love was real, then why has Misti never felt it?

Cyrus Waters is a sweetheart, a hopeless romantic. If there’s one thing he believes in it’s love. He knows it because of what his Aunt and Uncle have. Love. Cyrus dreams of having what they have someday, but for right now? He’s content with mending the hearts of others.
He believes no heart should be broken…well, no heart but his own. Cyrus is the nicest person you’ll ever meet—he seems happy. But really? Cyrus can’t help but wonder what’s wrong with him. Yeah, he believes in love, but will it ever come for him? Will people ever stop abandoning him? Will anyone ever love him?
Cyrus is broken-hearted but smiles through the pain because if he can make others smile, even more, a minute, he believes it can make him feel a little less empty.
