Hello, everyone! This is the Casting Call for The Spidersona-Verse. We need cast and crew members
For Cast Member Auditions:
Do you have a Spidersona? Would you like to be part of a gigantic fan-crossover event where Spidersonas from all different universes collide together, just like Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse? Well, this is the place to be! Join our cast of Spidersonas and be part of the epic fan-project called the Spidersona-Verse! As mentioned above, Spidersonas from across the internet and the globe will be featured in a massive collaboration bringing all of them together into one epic story. Apply down below with an audition! (It’s really easy!)
For Crew Member Auditions:
Don’t have a Spidersona? Are you a writer, director, artist, animator, musician, voice actor, storyboarder, or just a really devout fan with good ideas? Anything you can offer, we want it! We don’t just need the Spidersonas for this project. We need the people in between to put it together. Even some leaders and organizers. Take the time to apply down below with an audition! (Again, it’s really easy!)
How many Spidersonas are there? What’s the plot? Who will the villains be? How will the story be told? Is it a written story, animated, or just audio? That will all be decided together after everyone is recruited! The next two years will be for planning and brainstorming together for what we want to use in this project. We have the time, the people, and the means to make an epic impact.
What is expected?
For the next two years, not a whole lot. This is the recruiting, hiring, and gathering stage. The Spidersona-Verse Initiative. We have a Discord server under construction, making sure it’s completely ready for everyone.
After March 2023, production and work on the project will begin. Payment will be given after the work has been done. This will not be a contract-binding project, so you don’t have to worry about being forced to come back for a sequel or anything like that. This is one epic project that you’ll get paid for and expected to simply participate. You won’t be giving away any freedoms at all. If you participate as asked and do your part (we won’t ever expect too much from you), you get paid. Fairly simple. Don’t think about it too hard. You’ll be fine.
You will not be expected to show your face or your voice for this project. Showing faces or voices will not be required or mandatory for anyone. Complete anonymity is an option when it comes to the final project.
On the flip side, the opposite is also applicable. Depending on your role in the project, you very well may be asked or invited to participate with audio or video. But once more, it will never be required of anyone, nor will you be missing out on anything monumental by avoiding cameras or microphones.
Project Overview (If you still aren’t following):
A peaceful New York with only one Spider-Person is thrown into chaos when Spider-People abound all arrive from different universes and timelines. All original fan-Spidersonas making their own story. Together.
Requirements:
If you’re under 13, please consult you parent(s) or guardian(s) before auditioning. Don’t ignore this either, please. If you’re not permitted to join, just know that it’s not the end of the world. Safety and security first. I don’t have a way to tell if you’re under 13 and if so have the permission of your parent or guardian, so this is all based on the honor system. I would highly suggest getting permission from your parent or guardian for the project.
Discord, YouTube, DeviantArt, etc… none of these are required to join. But we ask for at the very least, email communication. Discord would be the easiest, as it often is, but I understand not having social media connections. I got my first smartphone at 18. I get it if you are one of those people who just don’t have a lot of social media connections. Email communication IS required, at the very least, if you do not have Discord.
Payments will be through PayPal only. If payment cannot be made, it will not be made. If you can't use PayPal, either don't audition or don't expect to be paid. After all, you can still join the project just for fun.

I’m TheOtherJames. I’ve been on Casting Call Club before, but on a currently disabled account. I used to use the site to look for projects to audition for, but now I’m primarily a creator looking for other’s talents.

I am an artist, singer, composer, writer, comic, and actor. Much of my work you can find on my social media pages listed above.
I have original songs, covers, and other projects scheduled for 2023-ish. [Without spoilers] I’m very experienced in fandom crossovers, roleplaying, theorizing, writing, and organizing multiverse stories. My favorite superhero is Spider-Man (duh).
Part of the reason for the large two-year period of planning and recruiting is due to my mission I’m departing on in March of 2021. I will be on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints until about March 2023.
I’m very excited to get so many more people on the project. We already have a good number of Spidersonas set to be part of the cast, and several people on-board with helping out. Remember… Anyone can wear the mask.

If you're looking to help the project in a leading position, audition here for the following jobs and responsibilities (flexible and not resolutely definitive):
- Helping on the Discord Server as an Admin or Mod.
- Keeping track of, organizing, and contacting others involved in the project.
- Working with the other Directors and Officiators to make decisions on the project.
- Accepting decisions by the Owners of the project and helping to carry them out.

This role is the one I will be the strictest on. I cannot compromise my project by appointing the wrong people to help me lead it. If you are not chosen to be a Project Director, please don't be bitter about it. Simply audition for another role in the project.

Being a Producer in this project means the following things:
- Direct contact with the crew members.
- Helping where needed with technical assets, editing, artists, storyboarding, and other tasks.
- Accepting decisions from the Owners and Directors of the project and helping to carry them out.

Say something you think would fit
You are the stars of the Spidersona-Verse. The story revolves around you and your sona you contribute with. Expect to:
- Collaborate with all others involved in the project regarding your Spidersona.
- Help plan interactions and scenes with your Spidesona and others. (We won't know everything about your Spidersona. How they would react, how they would talk, their special abilities, etc. It's your job to help us out with those things and plan how your character contributes to the story.)
- Be credited as a cast member of the Spidersona-Verse (unless you wish for anonymity).
Audition however you want. You may audition with an audio file, or you may simply type your audition.
Show us your Spidersona. If you have an image, please provide or link us to it. If you simply have words in your head or on paper explaining your Spidersona, give us that. We can have Artists help with the visual aspects of your character.
Give us name (Spider name and secret alias, if applicable), powers and abilities, origin story, etc.
Tell me about yourself, your experience, previous projects, etc. Why would you/your Spidersona be a good addition to the cast?
This is categorized here on Casting Call Club as a Voice Actor role, but that is not what you are auditioning for. You are submitting your Spidersona for admission into the cast and story. Voice Acting may be a part of the project, and it may not. Either way, that is not what this audition is.
Last side note: The language for this role says English but if your Spidersona speaks Japanese, for example, that would not be grounds for disqualification. However, please keep your live communication with us in English.
As said above, the exact story and plot of the Spidersona-Verse have not been decided upon yet. It all heavily depends on the Spidersonas we get. But obviously, the Spidersonas won't be the only characters in the story. So, we have a need for other characters. Audition here either with audio or text.
Improvise lines you might hear from other characters in a Spidersona-verse. Such as romantic interests, family members, passerbys, and villains.
"Where've you been?" [Romantic interest]

"_________. Another spider to kill." [Villain]
(Fill the blanks with a name of a possible Spider-person. It doesn't matter what name you use. For example, Spider-Man, Spider-Girl, Spider Gwen, Spider Pig, Spider-Woman, Spider Noir, Sp//DR, Hydro Spyder, Dino-Spider, Dark Web, Arachne, Venom Wolf, Night Monkey, etc...)
Tell me about yourself as a character creator, and possibly voice actor and writer. Just tell me why you should be cast as another character. Or if you are already cast as a Spidersona and have a sidekick or romantic interest, etc... Same thing.
Being a Writer for this project means you are at the headlines of collaborating with the other Writers to forge the blood and flesh of the story. Creative juices are highly recommended. Expect to:
- Brainstorm with the other Writers
- Collaborate with Storyboarders, Artists, and Spidersonas to put the story together.
- Write out and share scenes and scripts for the project.
- Work with and pass all decisions by the Owners, Directors, and Producers of the project.
Audition in the format of a normal job application. Tell me your name (can be no more than an online handle if you wish) and what you can bring to the table for the project, experience, etc. Tell me why I should choose you to help with writing and planning how the story will play out with all the Spidersonas in mind and cast.

- Collaborate with other Artists, Animators, and Spidersonas to draw create visuals for the project if necessary.
- Meet (reasonable) deadlines and do your part with the other Artists.

You are responsible for managing, and if required, creating animations for the project. Expect to:
- Collaborate with other Animators, Artists, and Spidersonas to animate the project if necessary.

You will be responsible for finalizing and putting together the last pieces of the project before it passes for review with the Owners, Directors, Producers of the project. This may be:
- Proofreading and editing scripts, and if applicable, final written content for the project.
- Editing video or visual content, if applicable.
- Finalizing audio content, if applicable.
When auditioning for this role, know that you do not have to be proficient in all of the possibilities up above. You can be a great script editor but you don't have to be a great video editor as well. Just a reminder that we can have multiple editors for different tasks and skillsets.
