Project Overview

INTRODUCTION

The Rising Fallen is a creation of mine that is currently still in production and not all characters have been written, in detail, into the story but I will be adding more characters very soon.  However, I have high hopes for this story and am hoping I can get much needed help for this project.  Currently, this project will remain unpaid, however, there is a possibility that once the story is complete, and the first seasons script has been finalized, a set payment may be provided according to your position on the team.

ABOUT

The Rising Fallen is a story about a young 15 year old boy named Kaito who discovers he has hidden abilities that were gifted to him.  Tragically, he discovers that these abilities are more of a curse when it is revealed that they were given to him by the Lord of the Underworld.  Though he tries to live his life as positive and helpful as he can he can not resist the demon that lurks within him, growing stronger every day.  Strangely enough, it seems that his beastly demon form is only released when another demon is nearby as if breaking free to challenge the other.  His only way of finding out what he truly is and if there is a way to stop his transformations is to delve deep into the dangers ahead while trying to maintain his humanity and protect his friends, who aid him in discovering the truth, from his uncontrollable form.

  • Pre-Production: Day 9 - New Character Added

    Kyouko is a good friend of Niko's. When still in school Kyouko and Niko spent a lot of time together talking about the future. However, once Kyouko graduated she moved away to take up a career in Clothing Design. They hadn't spoken since. That is, until Niko bumps into her in the strangest of places.

  • Pre-Production: Day 7 - New Character Added

    A very close and dear friend of Niko's, ever since she was adopted into the Vandel family. This 17 year old teenager is not only the daughter of Gin Nakamura, the Founder and CEO of Belfront National High, but she is also quite the eavesdropper. She loves listening in on her classmates conversations attempting to find any rumors and spread them throughout the school just for her enjoyment. However, with Niko she's different and even though from time to time she hates when Niko keeps things from her she always respects her privacy and the stuff she DOES know about Niko she would never tell anyone about.

  • Pre-Production: Day 6 - New Character Added

    Meet Oniraku, one of 6 Demon Lords who govern the underworld. He seeks to be a Lord of eternal suffering over death no more and wants his reign of suffering to enter into the world of the living and beyond its own limits as well.

Character Age: 15

Character Voice Expectations: Kaito is a free spirit so his emotions usually tend to change rapidly.  However, he hardly ever, if at all, is sad or discouraged.  He has a strength that holds him to the needs of others in the present and will stop at nothing to make sure that these needs are met, if righteous and moral, and he tends to be a goofball while he does it.  In conclusion,  I would like his voice to be very similar to that of Meliodas from Seven Deadly Sins but, of course, an English version of that.  However, if you feel the character might be more suited for a deeper voice feel free to voice the character the way YOU think would be best.  Another similarity would be that he is often loud with a sense of duty in his words whether he is serious or goofing off.  However, he has moments where his voice is little more than a whisper.

  • *Kaido is running away from a food clerk after stealing some items from a small shop.  He laughs as he takes off with the food* 

    "Sorry, can't stay!  I've got people to feed!  Thanks, though!"

    ALTERNATIVE LINES

    [Confused] "Hm...what a strange place.  How did I get here? And where is here? Wait, I can hear my own thoughts.  Okay, that's weird.  Is this a dream, maybe? It can't be, I don't remember going to bed."

    [Terrified] "Why am I so scared.  There's nothing to be afraid of.  It's just a voice.  And yet, I feel like I need to run; to try and find an escape from this...this...place."

    [Shocked; Scared] "Ayumi...they got you too?" 

  • *Kaito is sitting atop a roof looking up at the sky, his thoughts rushing through his head* 

    (Calm Low Voice [deep in thought]) "What a day.  Helping the helpless is tough work.  But...its worth it.  I mean, after all, I can relate to what its like to have nothing...to be alone and forgotten.  [Pause] I wonder if there is any life out there in space? Maybe there's someone out there who'd adopt me.  Maybe.  (Cheerful) Well, no use bumming myself out over that.  Besides, I need to be prepared for when another damsel in distress comes by.  (some kind of giggle or chuckle, doesnt matter)"

  • *Kaito responds to someone in trouble* 

    [Confused/Angry Shouting] "Huh? Hey, what did you do to her?!"

    [Confident/(thought) Surprised] "Tch, I'm not afraid of you.  Wait.  He's a Demon Sorcerer?  Heh, this should be interesting." 

    [Injured & Determined/Screaming] "No! I'm not going to give up just because you said I should.  I won't stop protecting people, especially when there's evil like you out there.   You people are the reason why I work so hard to help others.  Its because of you that I am who I am and I won't step aside and let you have your way.  I won't! Aaaah!!!!!!!" *Seeing as Kaito turns into his demon self here feel free to add a human to demon scream.  However, it is not needed.*

Its the feeling of waking up every morning knowing that no matter what you do you will always be seen as nothing but that there is that one person who is willing to separate herself far enough away from what is called normal to be a part of a life that is seemingly...pointless. So yes, I do have feelings for her.  In fact, I love her.  More than you ever have, and more than you ever will."

Character Age: Undefined

Character Voice Expectations: Oniraku is a Demon Lord of the underworld.  He is ruthless and unforgiving.  He is the father of Kaito who morphed into a human to deceive and mate with a female of innocent blood.  The mating of demon and human were forbidden by the Underworld Council of Shaitan but Oniraku wanted to rule the surface and become one with the eternal space above the skies and he saw the humans as a means to that end.  The mating would allow him that chance at escaping the wretched existence he knew now.  Since Oniraku is a demon he should sound sound like one.  I know in many different shows demons sound different but I preferably want him to have a dark satanic voice.  He also speaks slowly putting emphasis on his words.

Note: I have created an example soundtrack for his voice.  It is a rough put-together so do not focus on the editing I did on it as much as the way I speak the words.  I am pretty sure there is someone out there who can do a much better job at creating a demonic voice than I can.  Show what you can do!

  • *Feel free to use audacity or whatever other program to edit your auditions and throw in a demonic voice.*

    "Teranon, child of the sacred curse.  Your time is coming.  Soon, you will open the gateway to my return and when you do you will become one with my desires and do my bidding.  But first...I must break your spirit!  Gaze into your existence!"

Character Age: 17

Character Voice Expectations: Niko is usually soft spoken but when something needs to be said she comes right out and says it with confidence.  Being adopted into the Vandel Family, an upper class family who owns a widely known technology creation and advancements company called Vandel Tech, gave her a sense of responsibility over the future of the people of her city.  However, she is still unsure as to what her path is as a part of this family who adopted her.  I am looking for a kind higher pitched tone to her voice but low enough that she does not sound too much like a child.  However, later on, she finds herself in a situation where she is experimented on which causes her to morph into a separate version of herself changing her voice entirely to a deeper more authoritative voice.

  • *Niko is at school in her classroom. Class hasn't started yet. These lines are during a conversation with one of her closest female friends.*

    [Calm/Lost in thought] "Hm? Oh, hey Hanako." "No, I'm fine. Just...thinking."

    [Surprised/Bashful] "Wha...what? No! That's not it at all!"

    [Feeling of Emptiness] "Well, it's just that...I haven't seen him since we were in foster care together as kids.  I'm not sure where he could be."

    [Calm/Thinking] "You and I used to be soo close. And now we're so far away....Kaito."

  • *Kaito saves Niko from some delinquent College students who corner her in an alley. These lines are during a conversation between Kaito and Niko.*

    [Surprised] "Kaito...Is that you? Is that really you?"

    [Blushing] "Y...Yea, well, I'm not a kid anymore. Of course I've grown."

    [Irritated] "Pervert! You haven't changed one bit! Ugh!"

  • *Niko has been captured and has been strapped down as part of an experiment. She can't seem to talk so this conversation is all voiced from her thoughts*

    [Groggy] "Where am I? W...why can't I move? [Scared] Who are they! Why am I here! [Slowly passing out] "Kaito, help me...please."

    [Groggy/Relieved] "Kaito? What happened? Kaito...thank you."

    [Thinking] "What's happening to me? Why is this happening to me? It feels like I'm on fire! {Screaming as if in pain] Aaaaaah!!!!"

    [Confident/Annoyed] "Hello, my name is Arushīra, you are in my way, please move." "Those men you are standing in front of. They do not deserve your protection. Experimenting on a defenseless girl. It's vial and I will not allow them to live." "Very well, you leave me no choice. I'll just end you as well."

Character Age: 17

Character Voice Expectations: Hikari is one of Niko's closest friends.  Ever since she was adopted by the Vandel Family she found a new life beside Hikari who is the daughter of Head CEO Executive Gin Nakamura of Belfront National High School.  Niko has always confided in Hikari about her past and Hikari was always there to comfort her.  As Ayumi is the lifeline for Kaito, Hikari is Niko's lifeline.  Hikari is a queen of gossip and, at times, extremely nosy and bothersome  even though her father has warned her many times to keep the professionalism of their family name in tact.  However, she always comes to Niko first before telling anyone else about any rumors she has heard yet always has to annoy Niko long enough to get HER to talk whenever Hikari feels Niko is hiding something from her.  I have no expectations for Hikari's voice.  It can be high and cute or low and authoritative; as long as it sounds like an average anime teenager between the ages of 13-17.

  • *I wasn't sure how to approach the disgust the girl feels in these lines so in place of the "uck" and "bleh" put whatever sounds right to you.*

    Hikari runs into Niko's classroom and approaches the front of her desk throwing her hands down on the desk in front of Niko.


    [Excited] "Hey, Niko! You'll never guess what happened today.  You know that strange janitor who spends an awful lot of time around the gym?  The school council found out he's a convicted pedophile!  Uck! Just thinking about how many times he probably put those perverted eyes on me just makes me wanna, bleh!"

  • Hikari notices Niko is ignoring her.  Soon after, feeling concerned but also suspicious since she hates when things are kept from her by her best friend.


    "Huh? Hello Niko, Earth to Niko.  

    [Curious] "Where'd you go? You were literally zoned out for a moment there.  Have been like this all morning?"

    [Suspicious] "You know, you've been like this for the last few days now.  What's wrong? Did something happen? Or does this have anything to do with that boy you've suddenly started talking about during lunch? What was his name? Kaito, right?"

  • At this point, Hikari is pushing at the unpoken subject and takes a wild guess as to what the problem is with Niko.  Soon afterward, Kitari offers a suggestion for Niko's problem.

    [Teasing] "Oooh, I see what the problem is.  You have a thing for this Kaito fella, don't you?"

    [Upset and spoken a bit fast] "Then why do you talk about him so much at lunch? It's literally all you talk about.  Kaito this, Kaito that.  Is this guy really that great? And another question, why haven't you introduced me to him yet? Hm?"

    [Thinking] "You said he vanished after the fire?  And they didn't recover any body? [Pause] "Then why don't you start there? [Pause] Anyway, I got to get back to class.  See you at lunch!"

Character Age: 21

Character Voice Expectations: Akane is a bright mind when it comes to solving mysteries but she is also a very clumsy girl.  Her personality is that of a delicate flower until she sees a scoop.  Then she becomes a raging bull doing everything in her power to nail the greatest story ever.  In conclusion, her voice should be a good amount higher than Niko's and become a bit raspy with the same high voice when she is overly excited about a possible lead or story idea that rises to the surface.

  • *Akane is being dragged out into the lobby and then outside after making a mockery of Touma Lyair*

    [Frantic Comical Yelling] "Hey, ["struggling to break free" sounds] let go of me! I have a right to be here! Aaaah! You can't stop me from spreading the truth!"

    [Angry] "Hmph! How much does Mr. Liar pay you to keep your mouth shut, huh! You're all just as bad as he is!"

    [Calming Down/Focused] "Okay...okay Akane.  You started off pretty badly.  And now, they won't even let you back into the building....great."  "Hm? HE'S leaving rather early." 

    [Excited] Oh Akane, I think you just caught your break."  

    [Confused] "Now, where exactly are you headed off to, Mr. Lyair?" [Pause] "Time to chase a lead."

  • *Akane sneaks into a warehouse building in pursuit of Touma Lyair.  These are her thoughts and words as she explores the building.*

    [Confused] "Hm.  Why have you come here?  I'd better get some footage."

    [Confused] "Huh, I know I saw him come this way but where..." [Muffled Screams that slowly die out]

    *Akane wakes up suddenly in panic as she realizes she is tied to a chair in the center of a large unfinished room.  The following lines are a conversation between her and Lyair* 

    [Breathes In Sharply followed by muffled speaking and yelling until Lyair removes the gag] "What is this! Why have you kidnapped me!"

    [Angry/Annoyed] "Are you threatening me?" "I got a better idea.  How about you cut me lose and I kick your ass."

    [Shocked/Scared] "What the...what is that. Get that away from me! No! Aaaaaah!!!!!"

  • *Akane meets Kaito and Niko for the first time after she is rescued.  The following lines are the words she speaks between the three of them.*

    [Calm/Nervous] "Hey Kaito, I never got a chance to thank you for saving my life.  If you hadn't showed up when you did, I'd probably be dead right now.  [Pause] Anyways, I would like to thank you properly.  Would you, maybe, let me buy you lunch? 

    [Hopeful] I'd like to get to know you a little better, if that's okay. 

    [Excited] Niko, I'd love to interview you as well.  With you being the daughter of Vandel Tech Industries I might have a better chance figuring out what is going on here if I have all of the details."  "Great! We can meet back here tomorrow.  See ya!"

Character Age: 6

Character Voice Expectations:  Ayumi is a significant supporting character in Kaito's life.  She is the reason why he is able to hold back his unknown ability to morph into a demon being mainly because he sees her as a reflection of himself being invisible and left alone without anyone.  Her character will continue to pop up in different parts of the entirety of this story so you could say that she is a Supporting Lead character rather than just a simple supporting character.  She is only 6 years old so she has an innocent child's voice which is only made cuter when she tries to act tough for Kaito.

  • [Excited] "Big Brother!"

    [Content] "I know, but I never had a brother and since you take good care of me I thought...well, I want to think of you as one.  [Worried Excitement] Please big brother, I'll be good and be sure to love you forever and ever just like you love me.... [Shy] right?"

  • [Confused] "Uh..Big brother, where's your food? [Concern] But big brother needs to eat or you won't be able to protect me! [Stern] Listen here, mister.  You're the only real family I've ever had and I'm not going to let you just sit there and starve.  You're just as important as me so stop resisting and let me share."

Kyouko is a 19 year old girl who was friends with Niko for a short time before she graduated.  During the time they knew each other they were almost as close as Niko and Hikari but she moved away when she headed off to college and they lost touch.  Kyouko is shy around most boys if she thinks they are cute and rightfully so due to her having quite the figure that most men would drool over.  However she is not at all shy when she sees friends.  Her voice should be moderate to moderate-high for a female of early teen age.  When it is just girls she talks normal and clear, however, when there is a cute boy present she stumbles over her words, and finds it hard to speak even if she is not focusing on the boy.

  • Niko is in a clothing shop and notices Kyouko working at one of the checkouts.  She approaches her.*

    [Welcoming] "How can help you today?"

    [Surprised short squeal; Embarrassed] "Heh hey, I guess I would have bumped into you sooner or later."

    [Embarrassed] "Yea, that was the plan.  Becoming a clothes designer is harder than it looks, eh heh heh."

    [Calm] "So, how's life been treating you?"

  • *Niko introduces Kaito and Ayumi.  As Kyouko turns toward them she smiles warmly at the little girl and then looks over at Kaito and jumps a bit blushing insanely making nervous noises.  Afterwards, Niko has explained that they are there to get a change of clothes for Kaito and Ayumi.*

    [In thought] "This is Kaito? He's incredibly cute! Oooh Niko, why'd you have to bring him in here!"

    [Extremely Nervous] "Uuuuh.  Hi.  Kaito."

    [Shy] "Um.  Are you two like...dating?"

    [Surprised] "Oh! Yea I see.  Well,  I can definitely help you guys out with finding the best selection of clothes we currently have in stock!  Follow me!"

Amelia is the Head Matron of the Living Hope Orphanage.  She is kind, patient, and gives great advice.  She took care of Kaito and Niko along with many other children before the orphanage went up in flames.  As the age title suggests, her voice should sound average for a middle aged woman.  Yet, her voice should also be warm and inviting.

  • [Calm] "There, there little one.  You have a new home now.  And there will be no shortage of love here...Kaito. [Pause] Niko, come say hello to the new member of the family."

  • Feel free to experiment with your own lines if you wish.  Remember, she is a kind, loving orphanage matron and deeply cares for the children in her care.

Soma as a young adult.  Soma has always hated Kaito because of the attention he took from Soma and the attention he was getting from Niko who he has a crush on and eventually enters a relationship with.  At this point, Soma has gone mad because after leaving the orphanage he couln't stop thinking about Kaito and Niko still being together in the same house.  He discovers that they have grown closer since he left and he returns in rage.

  • "You thought that you could get away with spending all of this time with him?  I might not be a part of the orphanage anymore but I sure as hell aint going to sit back and watch you cut me out of your life.  You hear me! You still belong to me!"

  • *Soma's infuriated look turns to a big scary grin.  He covers his face in shame as he begins to laugh again.*

    "You just had to do it...didn't you?  After I told you that I would kill you if I ever caught you with my girlfriend ever again.  Tell me, Niko.  Do you have feelings for him?"

  • *Laughs Maniacally.*

    "I'm happy for you.  I truly am.  You know, for a while I had a feeling you two were becoming something more than just friends.  At least now I know for sure.  But will you still love her...after she's dead!"

This is a  minor character that is seen in the very beginning of the story.  He is a muscular middle-aged man who has just been removed from a pristine restaurant for making a scene inside.  He is furious as he tries to talk a newly recruited young restaurant  manager down in an attempt to force his way back into the food establishment.


Voice Preference: I see this man as having a pretty low rustic voice but  you take from the lines what you can of his personality and use the voice you feel fits best for this character.

  • [Angry] "Why was I kicked out of the restaurant?! That slut is the one who should be thrown out, not me!"

  • [Angry] "Settled down?  Settled down?!  While I'm out here talking to a child that Bitch is inside probably taking advantage of some other poor fool! I'm going to end this today.  Get out of my way!"

This is a  minor character that is seen in the very beginning of the Pilot.  He is a newly hired manager for a pristine restaurant.  However, it is his first day and already he has witnessed a scene break out and has been called to deal with it.  As frightened as he is of the angry man he is adamant in following orders and keeping his job so he tries hard not to break as he attempts to calm the angry man as  well as prevent him from reentering the restaurant.


Voice Preference: As long as the voice as not too high and not too low any range should be fine for this character.  Feel him out and choose the voice you think fits him best!

  • [Nervous] "I'm sorry sir, but you were making a scene.  I'm just following orders. The owner said you can return after you've settled down."

  • [Extremely Nervous] "I'm very sorry sir, but I can't let you through.  I beg of you, please walk away.  I don't want to have to alert the authorities."

This is a  minor character that is seen in the very beginning of the Pilot Episode.  He is a shopkeeper who has been stolen from and is on the chase to apprehend Kaito as well as retrieve what was stolen from him.


Voice Preference: I would prefer his voice be average to low for a middle-aged man.  A pretty average sound to his voice; not masculine but definitely not feminine.  Work your magic and do what you believe is right for this character.

  • [Angry] "Hey, get back here! Somebody stop that thief!"

  • *Kaito uses one of his abilities to propel one of the consumable items at the shopkeeper but misses*

    [Angry] "Hey! Cut that out! Do you know how much those cost?! Get back here, you little twerp!"
