THE RING BROTHERS CURSE (ORIGINAL MASCOT HORROR AUDIO DRAMA MOVIE) (light visuals)

Project Overview

(THIS PROJECT IS A AUDIO DRAMA IN MOVIE FORMAT, THE SCRIPT IS 267 PAGES LONG)

Ten years ago, the Ring Brothers Traveling Circus became the site of one of the most horrifying massacres in history. Dozens of performers and innocent families vanished overnight, leaving behind only bloodstained tents, abandoned attractions... and a mystery that was never solved.

Now, eighteen-year-old Samantha Adams returns to the ruins of the circus in search of the truth about her parents, who disappeared that night. What begins as a search for answers quickly becomes a fight for survival as the forgotten attractions awaken, and the circus' beloved animatronic performers reveal themselves to be something far more terrifying.

But beneath the horror lies an even darker secret.

The monsters stalking Samantha aren't simply machines.

They're victims.

Trapped between artificial intelligence and the souls of the people who died that night, the animatronics are haunted by fractured memories, torn between the identities they were programmed to perform and the humanity struggling to break free.

As Samantha ventures deeper into the decaying circus, she'll uncover hidden laboratories, long-buried conspiracies, and the truth behind the massacre that destroyed countless lives. Along the way, she'll discover that not every monster wants to kill her... and that sometimes the scariest thing hiding in the dark isn't the creature chasing you—it's the person pulling the strings.

Curtain Call: The Ring Circus Massacre is a cinematic psychological horror series blending supernatural mystery, emotional tragedy, and relentless suspense into a story about grief, identity, and the lengths we'll go to save the people we love—even after they're gone.

Some performances never end.
Some souls never leave the stage.
And every show deserves one final curtain call.

SAMANTHA ADAMS

Full Name: Samantha Claire Adams Age: 20

Role in Story: Main protagonist Survivor, investigator, and eventual enemy of the Ring Brothers Traveling Circus

Core Archetype:

The haunted hunter
She’s not the chosen one.
She’s not a superhero.
She’s the one person who refused to let the nightmare stay buried.

CORE CONCEPT

Samantha Adams is the only known surviving child of one of the families slaughtered during the fall of the original Ring Brothers Traveling Circus. At 8 years old, she survived the purge of the ring brothers circus with no answers and undealt with trauma that follows her into her 20s where she finally decides to seek out the circus after hearing constant rumours of the place being haunted and the robots still being alive…. She hopes to prove what she saw that night and find answers and most of all, put an end to the machines if they still roam

  • “When I was little, my dad used to tell me you were gentle. That underneath all that noise, you were safe. I used to wave at you through the bars like you could understand me Whatever’s inside you now… it isn’t what he loved. If you remember him—if even one piece of you remembers him—then stop.”

  • When I was eight years old, I went on vacation with my friend’s family. Just one week. Seven days. That’s all it took. I came home and everything was gone. My mom, my dad, the people who practically raised me—gone. And not in a way people understand. Not in a way anyone wanted to believe. Because when you tell people your family was murdered by circus machines wearing painted smiles, they don’t look at you like a victim. They look at you like a story. Like something broken they can explain away. So I learned to stop explaining. I learned to collect evidence. I learned to track patterns. I learned how to listen when everyone else laughed. And now it’s back. And this time, I’m not eight. This time, I know exactly what’s waiting for me in those tents. The only question is whether there’s anything left in there worth saving… or if I finally burn all of it to the ground.”

  • “Dad… if any part of you is still in there… I didn’t stop looking.”

"STANLEY ADAMS" CASTING DESCRIPTION

Age: 40s (Human) / Timeless (Animatronic)
Role Type: Major Supporting Antagonist / Tragic Horror Role
Voice Type: Warm fatherly baritone capable of shifting into manic, unsettling laughter
Accent: Neutral American

CHARACTER OVERVIEW

Before the massacre, Stanley Adams was one of the Ring Brothers Circus' most beloved performers. Charismatic, gentle, and endlessly patient, Stanley had a gift for making children laugh. Whether he was performing comedy routines, helping backstage, or spending time with his wife Clara and daughter Samantha, Stanley was known as the heart of the circus.

Then came the massacre.

Now, Stanley exists as Stanley the Giggling Bear—a towering animatronic predator trapped between man and machine. Unlike the more openly monstrous robots, fragments of Stanley's humanity still surface beneath the madness. He remembers pieces of who he was.

Most horrifying of all... he remembers Samantha. His daughter. Stanley's scenes require an actor capable of portraying A loving father buried beneath layers of trauma

  • (SHAKEN UP, NERVOUS BUT CONFEDENT IN HIS CAUSE) "Dad would've shut this place down before he let children get hurt"

  • (Warm, playful. Stanley is trying to comfort a frightened child.) "Hey now, easy there, kiddo. Deep breaths, alright? Everybody gets scared sometimes. Even grown-ups. Especially clowns in giant bear suits." (small chuckle) "You wanna know a secret? The trick isn't pretending you're never afraid. It's learning how to keep moving even when you are." (gentle) "C'mon. Hold my hand. We'll get through this together."

  • A rare moment of genuine rage breaking through Stanley's usual demeanor.) "No. No more excuses." "You don't get to shrug your shoulders and call it an accident." "You knew people were getting hurt." "And you smiled for the cameras anyway." (quiet fury) "You don't get to ask for forgiveness just because you're finally afraid."

BUTTONS THE "STRANGE" CLOWN

“I was made to make them laugh. I stayed because someone had to be kind.”Basic Role in the Story

Buttons is the only animatronic Samantha can trust—or at least, the only one who seems to remember what trust is. Unlike the others, Buttons does not hunt, stalk, or deceive for sport. He protects Samantha in small, strange ways:

  • warning her when something is near

  • distracting hostile animatronics

  • hiding her in maintenance passages

  • leaving little “safe” gifts behind (keys, batteries, maps, ribbons, old tokens)

But Buttons is not harmless. He is a fractured being: half children’s entertainer AI, half trapped human consciousness, stitched together by years of abandonment, damage, and memory rot. He is kind—but unstable. Loving—but terrifying when threatened. He isn’t “good” because he’s pure. He’s good because he chooses to be.

At first glance, Buttons comes off as:

  • playful

  • awkward

  • eager to help

  • childlike

  • soft-spoken in a glitchy, sing-song way

But underneath that is:

  • survivor’s guilt

  • loneliness

  • obsessive protectiveness

  • identity confusion

  • fear of being abandoned again

  • buried violence

Human Identity: Elliot Crowley

Elliot Crowley was a child—probably around 8 to 11 years old—who used to visit or be brought to the entertainment center. He loved Buttons when he was alive Elliot got separated during a party or shutdown and was trapped in the building during an incident. He wasn’t just lost. He was forgotten..

  • “Easy, sweetheart… I’m not one of the mean ones.”

  • “Buttons is excellent at three things: hiding, lying, and cheering people up. We are using two of those tonight.”

  • “I’m what happens when too many pieces decide not to die.”

ARTHUR BELL

"The Voice That Never Stops Talking"

Arthur Bell was one of the Ring Brothers Traveling Circus's most beloved entertainers. A fast-talking comedian, improv performer, and crowd favorite, Arthur had a gift for making people laugh no matter how bad the day had been. His quick wit, endless energy, and ability to work a crowd made him one of the circus's most recognizable personalities.

Behind the jokes, however, Arthur carried a growing bitterness. Despite years of dedication and popularity with guests, he often felt overlooked, underappreciated, and trapped in a circus that seemed more interested in profits than people.

During the massacre, Arthur died attempting to protect several children backstage. His final moments were filled with fear, anger, and betrayal. Those emotions fused with Buddy the Parrot, an animatronic already programmed to mimic Arthur's voice and personality. The result was a twisted reflection of the man he once was—an endlessly talking, mocking predator whose jokes now hide decades of rage and pain.

Core Theme:

A performer who spent his life making others laugh, only to become consumed by the bitterness he hid behind the punchlines.

Voice description:

  • ARTHUR (to a crowd) Good evening, ladies and gentlemen! If you're not having fun yet, don't worry. That's what I'm here for. And if I can't make you laugh... I'll make fun of someone who can.

  • THE REAL ARTHUR (BEHIND THE JOKES) ARTHUR (frustrated) Funny how everybody remembers the act. Nobody remembers the guy doing it. You spend enough years making people smile... Eventually you start wondering if anybody notices when you're not.

  • ARTHUR (urgent) Go! Move! Don't stop running! I'll hold them off! Go! No! Stay behind me! Don't look back! Just keep moving!

HEYDEN VANE

"The Bunny Man"

Heyden Vane was one of the kindest souls in the Ring Brothers Traveling Circus. While he was never a star performer, he was beloved by everyone who worked there. Known to children as "The Bunny Man," Heyden spent his days helping lost kids find their parents, calming frightened guests, and running quiet performances for children who felt overwhelmed by the circus's louder attractions.

Gentle, patient, and endlessly compassionate, Heyden believed every child deserved to feel safe. He became a trusted friend to many circus families, including Samantha Adams, who remembered him as a comforting presence throughout her childhood.

During the massacre, Heyden died trying to help others escape. His soul later merged with Mister Hush, transforming one of the circus's warmest protectors into one of its most terrifying stalkers. Though the machine now hunts in silence, fragments of Heyden's kindness still linger deep within, buried beneath decades of pain, corruption, and grief.

Core Theme:
A good man forced to become the very thing children should fear.

Voice description:

  • HEYDEN (softly, to a scared child) Hey. It's okay. You don't have to talk if you don't want to. I'll sit right here until you're ready. You know a secret? Everybody gets scared. Even grown-ups. The trick isn't getting rid of the fear. It's learning that it doesn't control you.

  • PROTECTIVE HEYDEN Stay behind me. Now. Don't argue. Just trust me. Listen to my voice. Not the screaming. Not the noise. Look at me. You're going to be okay. Do you understand?

  • HEYDEN (calm, reflective) You know what I liked most about working here? The lost kids. Not because they were lost. Because of what happened afterward. You'd see it every time. The panic. The tears. The fear. Then they'd spot their parents. And suddenly everything was okay again. Just like that. (small smile) I always loved that part. Because nobody deserves to feel alone. (pause) I wonder... If anybody was looking for me when I disappeared.

BENNEY THE GIANT "The King of a Dead Circus"

Full Designation: Benney the Giant
Type: Elephant Animatronic
Height: Approximately 12–15 feet tall
Status: Fully controlled by the spirit of Scotty Ring
Role: Main Antagonist / Alpha Animatronic

BEFORE THE MASSACRE

Benney the Giant was Scotty Ring's dream project. A massive elephant animatronic designed to become the new face of the Ring Brothers Traveling Circus.

He was intended to:

  • Lead parades

  • Speak to audiences

  • Perform impossible tricks

  • Replace traditional animal attractions

Scotty viewed Benney as the future. Felix viewed him as a dangerous vanity project. Unfortunately, Felix was right. Benney's size created countless problems:

  • Structural failures

  • Hydraulic malfunctions

  • Power surges

  • Safety concerns

Several workers were nearly injured during testing. Before Benney could debut, he was permanently shelved and locked away beneath the circus. Scotty never got to see his masterpiece perform.

THE DEATH OF SCOTTY RING

After the massacre, Scotty found himself surrounded by the animatronics he had created. The machines waited for praise. Instead, they received rage. Scotty screamed at them. Blamed them. Rejected them. Then the souls merged with the machines. The circus turned on its creator. Scotty was torn apart. But his hatred refused to die. While the others became trapped inside their machines… Scotty took control. His spirit latched onto Benney. The largest machine. The strongest machine. The machine that had never gotten its chance.

  • "You don't understand! Everything I did... I did to keep this place alive!"

  • (angry/desperate) This is ridiculous. You're all machines! Machines! You can't hate me YOU NEED ME! ...please.

SCOTTY RING

Role assigned to: Stanislav M.

Scotty Ring is the co-founder of the Ring Brothers Traveling Circus and the brilliant but deeply unstable mind behind its final downfall. Once a visionary performer and engineer, Scotty believed the future of entertainment lay in replacing human performers with advanced animatronics—perfect, tireless, and controllable.

Beneath his showman charm and technical genius, Scotty is driven by obsession, control, and a growing inability to separate performance from reality. His ambition fractures the circus from within, sparking a chain of events that leads to tragedy, betrayal, and mass death during the infamous Ring Circus Massacre.

After the disaster he helped set in motion, Scotty becomes something far worse than a victim or villain—his hatred and guilt fuse with the very machines he created. This lingering presence manipulates the surviving animatronics into believing he is one of them, masking himself as a guiding figure while secretly continuing his control from within the system he built.

Scotty is not simply evil—he is consumed. A man who tried to perfect art through machinery and instead became part of the nightmare he designed.

Tone for performance: charismatic, intelligent, gradually unraveling into paranoid obsession, with undertones of grief, denial, and cold authority.

  • (cocky) I've got more coming. Way more. Soon this place will have enough animatronics to run the entire show.

  • (arrogant) SCOTTY: Look at this beauty. Doesn't get sick. Doesn't bite people. Doesn't eat. Doesn't sleep. Doesn't complain. [Looks directly at Stanley.] Unlike certain employees.

FELIX RING

Role assigned to: Esben

Felix Ring is the emotional backbone of the original Ring Brothers Traveling Circus — a weary but compassionate man desperately trying to preserve the soul of a dying family tradition. Unlike his younger brother Scotty, who sees the circus as a business, Felix sees it as a home. He values the performers, the animals, and the people behind the acts more than profit, making him one of the few genuinely moral figures in the story. But years of fighting a losing battle against modernization, greed, and his brother’s obsession with AI have left him emotionally exhausted.

For casting, Felix requires an actor capable of portraying quiet authority, emotional restraint, and buried grief. He should feel like a man carrying the weight of an entire collapsing legacy on his shoulders. Felix is not loud or theatrical like the performers around him — his presence comes from sincerity, intelligence, and emotional grounding. Even during arguments, he speaks like someone trying to save people rather than win.

Performance note: Felix should feel like the last human piece of the old circus still trying to survive while everything around him rots away. He’s the kind of man who rarely raises his voice because he knows people listen when he finally does. His tragedy comes from knowing he’s losing the fight long before the massacre ever begins.

Voice description:
  • any
  • male adult
  • “Do you know what I hate most about all this, Scotty? It’s not the machines. It’s not the money. Hell, it’s not even the lying anymore. It’s the way you stand there acting like this place was already dead before you got your hands on it. This circus survived storms, accidents, lawsuits, fires— people stayed because they loved it. They loved the performers. They loved the animals. They loved us. But you… You walk around talking about audiences like they’re numbers on paper. Those people out there trusted us with their families. And now every decision you make feels colder than the last. So don’t stand there telling me the circus is dying. The circus isn’t dying, Scotty. You’re killing it.”

  • (Soft, reflective, emotionally exhausted) “Funny thing about circuses… People only remember the lights. They remember applause. Music. Cotton candy. Smiling clowns. Nobody remembers what it sounds like after everybody goes home. When the generators shut down. When the cages stop rattling. When the performers wipe the makeup off and finally get to be people again. That’s the part I always loved most. The quiet. Felt honest. Like for a few hours, the circus stopped pretending to be magic and just became… a family trying to survive. I think that’s why all this hurts so much. Because somewhere along the way… we stopped being people to Scotty. We became replaceable.”

  • (Quiet horror slowly becoming rage) “No… No, this isn’t what you were built for. Look at me. LOOK AT ME. You were supposed to make people smile. You were supposed to help children laugh. That’s all you were ever supposed to be. So whatever’s inside you now… whatever Scotty turned you into… it is NOT my circus. Do you hear me? This isn’t my family anymore. This isn’t entertainment. It’s cruelty wearing greasepaint.”

Full Name: Elliot Crowley
Age at Death: 9–10 years old
Current Form: Soul merged with Buttons the Strange Clown
Role: Samantha's ally, emotional heart of the story, tragic survivor

Character Overview

Elliot Crowley is the soul trapped inside Buttons the Strange Clown, making him one of the few animatronics in the Ring Brothers Traveling Circus who actively fights against the darkness consuming the others.

Unlike the performers and workers whose souls merged with the machines during the massacre, Elliot was only a child. A lonely, abandoned boy who spent his final days wandering the circus grounds after being left behind by the very people meant to love him.

Years before the massacre, Elliot's abusive family abandoned him at the circus and never returned. While most people never noticed he was there, circus performer Elias Mercer immediately recognized that something was wrong. Refusing to ignore the boy's suffering, Elias brought him to Felix Ring, who secretly allowed Elliot to stay with the circus until a proper home could be found.

That home never came.

Instead, the circus became his family.

Personality

Elliot is kind-hearted, empathetic, and deeply emotional.

He desperately wants people to feel safe because he knows what it feels like to be forgotten.

Even after death, much of that innocence remains.

CLARA BELL ADAMS"The Heart of the Circus"

Full Name: Clara Bell Adams

Age at Death: 32

Role Before Death: Head Performer, Ballerina Clown, Children's Entertainer

Current Form: Soul merged with Julie the Twirling Clown

Relationship to Samantha: Mother

Relationship to Stanley Adams: Wife

Character Overview

Before the Ring Brothers Traveling Circus became a graveyard of rust and ghosts, Clara Bell Adams was its heart. Where Stanley Adams represented strength, Felix Ring represented tradition, and Elias Mercer represented laughter, Clara represented kindness. She wasn't the loudest performer.

She wasn't the most famous. But she was the one children remembered.

Clara specialized in elegant clown performances that blended ballet, ribbon dancing, storytelling, and audience interaction. Rather than relying on slapstick comedy, she created an atmosphere of wonder and comfort. Many children who were frightened by the louder acts would seek out Clara. She always knew how to make them smile. She remembered names. She gave away handmade ribbons. She sat with crying children until they felt safe. To many families, Clara wasn't just another performer. She was the face of the circus.

Personality

Clara was warm, patient, and endlessly compassionate.

She believed every person deserved kindness, especially those who felt forgotten.

She had an almost maternal instinct toward everyone around her.

Whether it was a nervous performer before a show, a homesick worker, or a frightened child in the audience, Clara always made time for them.

She was known for:

  • Her gentle nature

  • Her calming presence

  • Her creativity

  • Her optimism

  • Her fierce loyalty to her family

However, Clara was not weak.

When she believed something was wrong, she stood her ground.

She openly challenged Scotty Ring's growing obsession with replacing performers with machines and was one of the first people to support Felix during their conflict.

Voice description:

BUDDY THE PARROT

BACKSTORY

Before the massacre, Buddy was one of the more lighthearted attractions.

Bright green feathers

Sat on a rotating perch near the entrance

Greeted kids, repeated jokes, mimicked voices

Often paired with Stanley Adams during animal shows

But Buddy wasn’t just random—  he was voice-trained using recordings of real performers, including:

A stage comedian named Arthur Bell

A loud, fast-talking entertainer

Known for improv jokes and crowd interaction

Beloved by kids… but secretly bitter about being underpaid

 The Night of the Massacre

When the animatronics attacked:

Arthur Bell tried to hide children backstage

He was found by the clown animatronics

As he was dying, he was screaming—panicked, angry, betrayed

That rage… that fear…

 It didn’t fade.

It latched onto the nearest AI system—Buddy The Parrot.

  • “Step right up… don’t be shy… Everyone gets a part in my show.”

Mister Hush is the stalker. Where Stanley destroys, Patches humiliates, Julie manipulates, and Splinterjack plays with prey… Mister Hush ends the panic. He doesn’t chase loudly.  He doesn’t perform.  He doesn’t scream. He appears when:

  • someone is hiding

  • someone is alone

  • someone thinks the worst has already passed

  • or when a victim is too exhausted to keep running

He is what comes after the circus has broken you. If the others are the show… Mister Hush is the curtain call.

ORIGINAL ROLE (PRE-TRAGEDY)

Before the massacre, Mister Hush was known as: “Mister Hush the Moon Rabbit” He was a soft-spoken nighttime character used for:

  • calming overstimulated children

  • escorting lost kids back to their parents

  • reading bedtime-style stories during late shows

  • quiet tent performances with dim lights and music-box melodies

  • “Hush Hour,” a small section of the circus for anxious children who were scared of loud acts

Felix loved the concept. Scotty thought it was “boring but marketable.”

ROLE IN THE STORY

Splinterjack is the circus’s sadist, scavenger, and crowd-control freak. He’s not the one sent in to destroy a room like Stanley. He’s not the one who theatrically stalks people like Patches. He’s not the one who lures children with false sweetness like Julie. Splinterjack is what the circus sends into tight spaces. Vent shafts. Trailers. Bathroom stalls. Ticket booths. Animal cages. Under bleachers. Inside walls.

THE HUMAN SOUL MERGED WITH HIM

Name: Elias “Jack” Mercer

Elias Mercer — known on stage as Jack Mercer â€” was one of the circus’s oldest human comedy performers. He was never the star. He was the guy: He was wiry, loud, and impossible to keep still. He was the kind of performer who could turn garbage props into a great act. Kids loved him. Adults barely remembered his name. And that ate at him.

WHAT HE HID

Jack was funny, but underneath it? He was angry as hell.

He spent years being treated like:

  • disposable labor

  • a backup act

  • a body to throw into dangerous routine

HOW HE DIED

During the massacre, Jack tried to help several trapped workers and children escape through the maintenance tunnels beneath the main tent. He knew the backstage crawlspaces better than almost anyone. He almost got them out. But Patches and Stanley cornered them. Jack fought back with whatever he could find: He managed to slow them down long enough for a few people to get farther into the tunnels…but he was eventually dragged out into one of the storage corridors. That’s where he died. Not cleanly.  Not quickly. He was beaten, pinned, and torn apart in pieces while the monkey animatronic nearby kept rhythmically clanging its cymbals in “celebration mode.”

That was the last thing he heard.

“The Smiling Pirouette”

Type: Humanoid clown animatronicRole in the circus: Child performer / ballerina clown / crowd engagement actCurrent state: Soul-merged killer animatronicPrimary theme: False joy, stolen grace, and maternal grief

CORE CONCEPT

Julie was originally designed by Scotty as one of the “perfect replacements” for human performers:

  • prettier than a real clown

  • never tired

  • always smiling

  • graceful and elegant

  • safe-looking enough for children

  • unsettling enough to be memorable

She was marketed as â€śthe sweetest clown in the world” â€” a dancing, spinning, ribbon-twirling ballerina clown who would perform for children, hand out candy, and invite them into the spotlight. But after the massacre, Julie became one of the most emotionally unstable and dangerous animatronics in the circus. Why? Because the soul inside Julie belonged to someone Samantha loved. Not her father — that’s too obvious and better saved for a different animatronic. Julie should contain the soul of someone who represented warmth, safety, and performance to Samantha as a child. That makes Julie tragic. And cruel. And unforgettable.

THE HUMAN SOUL INSIDE JULIEClara Bell AdamsAge at death: 32 Relation to Samantha: Her mother Role in the old circus: Head clown ballerina / stage lead / children’s performer Known for: Grace, kindness, makeup artistry, ribbon dancing, and making scared children laughWHO CLARA WAS

Clara Bell Adams was one of the most beloved human performers in The Ring Brothers Traveling Circus before Scotty’s AI takeover. She wasn’t a “haha pie-in-the-face” clown. She was something more elegant and eerie-beautiful:

  • white face paint

  • delicate painted tears

  • soft pink and red accents

  • ballet slippers

  • spinning ribbon routines

  • dreamy music-box entrances

  • a motherly stage presence
