Elliot Crowley is the soul trapped inside Buttons the Strange Clown, making him one of the few animatronics in the Ring Brothers Traveling Circus who actively fights against the darkness consuming the others.

Unlike the performers and workers whose souls merged with the machines during the massacre, Elliot was only a child. A lonely, abandoned boy who spent his final days wandering the circus grounds after being left behind by the very people meant to love him.

Years before the massacre, Elliot's abusive family abandoned him at the circus and never returned. While most people never noticed he was there, circus performer Elias Mercer immediately recognized that something was wrong. Refusing to ignore the boy's suffering, Elias brought him to Felix Ring, who secretly allowed Elliot to stay with the circus until a proper home could be found.

That home never came.

Instead, the circus became his family.

Elliot is kind-hearted, empathetic, and deeply emotional.

He desperately wants people to feel safe because he knows what it feels like to be forgotten.

Even after death, much of that innocence remains.
