The Ranger Project: Red Requiem
Year: 2076.
You play as Jina Kim, a 34-year-old woman living off the grid in a secluded cabin deep within the frostbitten forests of El Paso.
Once a promising ranger under the Wealdstone Corporation, Jina vanished without a trace following a covert experiment that forever altered her—physically, mentally, and morally. The nature of the experiment remains classified, but what’s known is this: Jina is no longer entirely human… and the corporation wants her silenced.
Isolated and presumed dead, Jina tries to survive in the shadows, waiting for her name to fade from the grid. But something inside her has begun to stir. A hunger. A craving. Not just for answers… but for flesh.
As days bleed into nights, Jina begins abducting people—people from her past Former college peers. Familiar faces she once knew in another life. All now bound in her cellar. All feeding her obsession to understand what she’s become… and why.
Uncover the buried truth of her transformation. Explore the shattered memories she’s tried to suppress. Piece together the corporate sins that forged her fate.
And above all—
Discover what truly happened to Jina Kim.
Because some believe she died.
Others believe she lost herself.
But the whispers in the cold suggest something worse:
She was reborn.

Character Name:
Jina Kim
Age (In-Game):
34
Age Range (Vocal):
Late 20s to mid-30s
(Voice should reflect a young woman burdened by trauma, experience, and emotional fatigue.)
Tone & Delivery Style:
Grounded, introspective, and human.
Speaks with measured confidence, but her tone is often edged with weariness, grit, or lingering anxiety.
Has moments of vulnerability, but can flip into sharp sarcasm, cold pragmatism, or emotional detachment depending on the situation.
When in her ranger form, she will become a completely different character and sound crazy.
Voice Personality & Traits:
Survivor energy. Her voice reflects someone who’s been through hell, endured it, and came out with scars instead of glory.
Intelligent, observant, and self-aware, but often emotionally guarded.
Tends to be straightforward, sometimes blunt — she doesn’t talk to fill space.
Moments of snapping tension or bitterness bubble up unexpectedly, especially when past trauma is involved.
There is an underlying sadness in her tone, even when she tries to hide it.
Emotional Range:The VA must be able to express:
Fear without weakness
Strength without arrogance
Cynicism born from trauma
Rare, fragile moments of softness or humor
Will also show no emotion when it needs.
Also will be crazy laugh if by chance.
Character Summary for Voice Interpretation:
Jina Kim is not your typical protagonist. She’s a fallen idealist, once bright-eyed and full of dreams, now hiding in the woods of El Paso—scarred mentally and physically from Wealdstone experiments. She is fighting not only to survive but to remember who she was before they rewrote her DNA and tried to bury her humanity. There’s a voice in her head that isn’t hers. A past she can’t fully face. And a hunger she doesn’t understand.Despite all this, Jina’s voice should always feel real — never overacted or melodramatic. We need nuance, weight, and soul.
*Say something you thin"You think becoming a Ranger solves anything? It's just a title. A pretty suit and a number. But no one sees the person behind the helmet… not really.” (Emotion: bitter, restrained frustration — she’s not yelling, she’s confessing a hard truth.)k would fit*
"I used to want this. The power, the uniform… the purpose. Now I wake up every day wondering if I'm still me, or just whatever they built in that lab." (Soft, tired — as if admitting this to herself for the first time. Reflective and broken.)
"Don’t talk to me like you understand. You weren’t there. You didn’t see what they turned me into." (A sudden spike of emotion — anger and guilt, not seeking pity, but release.)
Ashley Veronica(Jina’s former best friend — once warm and hopeful, now wounded and hardened after emotional fallout during college and a traumatic event that changed her forever.)
(Note: Is also a mother)
Age (In-Game):
35
Age Range (Vocal):
Early-to-mid 30s
Tone & Delivery Style:
Grounded and emotionally real — like someone trying to stay strong for others but still carrying invisible wounds
Naturally compassionate and steady, but with a subtle layer of sadness or bitterness beneath the surface
When angry or defensive, she sounds emotionally raw, not loud — like someone who avoids confrontation but will stand her ground if pushed
Voice has a maternal, nurturing warmth, especially in her earlier years, but can shift to cold, protective distance later on
Personality in Voice:
Supportive and sincere in tone, especially in flashbacks or “softer” scenes
Her voice shows a lingering pain, the kind that comes from betrayal by someone you once loved or trusted. Speaks with emotional hesitation at times — like she’s still processing what happened, and unsure how much to say
Can sound resigned, as if trying to convince herself she’s over it… but she’s not
When speaking about her family or future, she lights up briefly — a glimpse of who she used to be
Emotional Range:
The VA should be capable of expressing:
Warm, trustworthy energy,
Lingering resentment or regret,
Controlled emotional breakdowns,
Protective strength, especially in present-day scenes
Vulnerability that slowly slips through during confrontation
Character Summary for Voice Interpretation:
Ashley Veronica represents the kind of person who wanted peace but was pulled into chaos. Once the emotional anchor for Jina Kim during their early years at Crimson Bluff University, she was left hurt and betrayed after Jina's descent into obsession and control under Markus Lloyd. Ashley picked herself back up, built a quiet life in El Paso, and tried to heal, but the past doesn't forget. And when that past comes knocking, her voice tells you everything: the heartbreak, the buried loyalty, the self-worth she fought to rebuild. She’s not a victim — she’s a survivor. And her voice? It should remind us of what it sounds like to choose yourself, even when it hurts.
"You were my best friend, Jina. I would’ve followed you anywhere… but that night, you made your choice. And I made mine." (Tone: quiet heartbreak, mixed with regret and hard-earned self-respect.)
"I have a family now. A real one. If you think I’ll let you drag me back into your hell, you’re wrong." (Tone: fierce, protective — maternal instinct overriding old loyalties.)
"You don’t just dump a friend and come crawling back years later. You broke something in me, Jina." (Tone: wounded, sincere — letting the pain show, just for a moment.)
(Former college golden boy; now a washed-out vendor with a past he can’t outrun)
Age (In-Game):
38
Age Range (Vocal):
Mid to late 30s(Voice should reflect someone who once thought he ruled the world, and now lives in its gutters.)
Tone & Delivery Style:
Sarcastic, entitled, and frequently condescending
Talks like a man who’s used to getting away with everything — and can’t believe life caught up to him
A smug, overconfident cadence that cracks when pushed, showing hints of panic or shame beneath Voice should drip with passive aggression, especially in tense scenes
Often sounds like he’s still stuck in his college glory days — desperately holding on to an identity that’s long dead
Personality in Voice:
Think of a bully who peaked at 21, now hollow inside
Arrogant and mocking to those below him, flatteringly fake to those above
Will default to smirking cruelty or childish teasing when confronted
Emotionally immature, and when confronted with guilt or fear, voice becomes defensive or bitter
Emotional Range:
The VA should be able to shift between:
Cocky confidence
Passive-aggressive mockery
Smarmy manipulation
Faint vulnerability or breakdown
Cowardice when cornered
Character Summary for Voice Interpretation:
Nathan Hoang represents everything that rots beneath unchecked privilege. Once a golden boy with a rich family and a bright future, he lost everything because of his ego — and because he was never held accountable. His bullying of Jina Kim wasn’t just mindless — it was targeted, cruel, and often physical. But now, with no legacy left, he hides behind jokes and sarcasm to avoid looking in the mirror. He’s the ghost of wasted potential, and his voice should remind you of the kind of person who laughed while holding someone else underwater — and never thought they’d drown, too.
"What, you thought you were the only one who got beat up in college? You just cried louder than the rest of us." (Tone: dismissive, mocking — trying to rewrite the past to his advantage.)
"Look, whatever happened back then, we were just kids. You gotta let that crap go." (Tone: defensive, fake empathy — trying to brush off guilt with feigned maturity.)
"I used to have everything. Grades, girls, future... Now? I flip burgers in a city that forgot me." (Tone: bitter, with a crack of pain behind the arrogance.)
(Alias: Unknown real name)
Age (In-Game):
41
Age Range (Vocal):
Mid 30s to early 40s
(Voice should reflect experience, charisma, and quiet menace.)
Tone & Delivery Style:
Smooth, confident, and calculated.
Every word he speaks feels like it was chosen with precision, often with underlying sarcasm or passive menace.
He rarely raises his voice, yet always commands attention when he talks.
Think of a man who knows he’s dangerous — and enjoys letting others wonder why
Voice Personality & Traits:
Charming but manipulative. The type of person who smiles while reading your weakness.
Often speaks with a mocking tone when disinterested or condescending.
In serious moments, his voice drops into something low and chilling, even predatory.
A man used to getting what he wants, whether through seduction, persuasion, or fear.
Has a way of speaking like he’s always one step ahead — even when he isn’t.
Emotional Range:
The VA should be able to deliver:
Seductive control (when manipulating)
Venomous coldness (when threatening)
Eerie calm in chaos
Playful danger in casual moments
Rare moments of genuine weight or regret under the surface
Character Summary for Voice Interpretation:Darius Shade is the kind of man who burns bridges before you realize you're standing on them. Once a dropout turned Nightstalker enforcer, his past with Jina Kim is shrouded in complex, dark tension — he wasn’t just a toxic presence, he was part of her undoing. And yet, his charm and reputation made him nearly untouchable. He’s the kind of character who talks you into believing he’s changed, and before you realize it, you’re trapped in his game again. The voice needs to carry the weight of someone coiled like a serpent — seductive and deadly, but never out of control.
"You know what the difference is between a hero and a ghost, Jina? A hero gets a statue. A ghost just... lingers.” (Tone: calm, ominous — almost poetic. This is Darius musing with veiled threat.)
"The only reason you're still breathing is because I’m curious. That curiosity can disappear... quickly." (Tone: Dead serious. No anger, just cold and threatening. A line that cuts.)
"People like us? We don’t get happy endings. We get buried files and closed cases." (Tone: grave and reflective — a moment of truth told by someone who’s accepted his role in the shadows.)
(Formerly privileged student turned bitter corporate cog; a woman who clings to her past status while hiding her fragile ego behind sarcasm and venom)
Age (In-Game):
39
Age Range (Vocal):
Mid-to-late 30s
(Voice should reflect someone who still believes she’s above others — even if she clearly isn’t anymore.)
Tone & Delivery Style:
Poised but biting — speaks like someone always trying to stay composed, but often laces her words with venom
Passive-aggressive, often mocking in a condescending way
Her voice is sharp, controlled, and occasionally theatrical in a “mean girl” kind of way
In high-pressure moments, her voice may crack or tremble, showing hidden fear, insecurity, or trauma
Personality in Voice:
Manipulative, judgmental, and extremely good at weaponizing politeness
Sounds like someone who still thinks she’s the smartest person in the room
Often leans into a false sense of superiority, using tone as a wall to keep others emotionally distant Her coldness is often a mask for deep shame and regret, which she hides at all costs
Emotional Range:
The VA should be able to shift between:
Smugness and sarcasm
Cold, professional tone
Mocking cruelty
Passive-aggressive politeness
Brittle vulnerability in rare moments
Character Summary for Voice Interpretation:
Jessica Larson is a woman who burned others to stay warm, and now lives in the chill of her own regrets. Once part of the trio that tormented Jina Kim in college, she now buries herself in corporate work, pretending none of it mattered. But trauma has a way of finding its voice again. Her voice should walk a tightrope between composure and cruelty, with layers of guilt tucked beneath the surface. She isn’t a cartoon villain — she’s a mirror to what happens when pride replaces empathy, and fear becomes armor.
"You know, I always thought you had potential... just not the kind that survived long." (Tone: backhanded compliment, coldly amused — as if she’s talking down to someone from a pedestal.)
"I built something out of my life. What did you build, Jina? A graveyard?" (Tone: smug superiority cracking slightly into bitterness.)
"You think this is still about college? That was a lifetime ago. You’re the one still living in it." (Tone: sharp, dismissive — trying to emotionally distance herself from past guilt.)
